      Thank you for your reply. I couldn’t find any help anywhere which is why I made the video for others. Hopefully it is of help to you and you be able to get it working after inspection. Good luck. Regards and stay safe. Peter

    You made a great job of a camper that was totally wrecked only for the many hours work in to bring it back to great shape again 👍

      Hi Brick Wall. Thanks for the kind comment. Honestly though I had little choice. Got caught badly when I bought the van so I had to do it or scrap it as no dealer would consider repairing it but a friend gave me hope saying it’s coach built so it can be repaired so many days weeks and months followed working on her and the wife was not amused. I managed to get it almost all done and even went away for a few trips then the China virus came and we were on lockdown so I tinkered about more - got cam belt and water pump done + many of the daft things. Lockdown lifted so went away of July 2020 for just over two weeks which was fantastic and toured every corner of the Isle of Wight then after that we started another lockdown so I had all the welding done and another full service so she’s a very solid beast now indeed. To be fair lockdown has helped me by concentrating my efforts each day doing things to the van I would never have bothered to do but it’s helped keep me sane and now I have a solid van which I can honestly go anywhere and will last many years to come.
      When the weather gets better I can give her a good polish.
      Hope you didn’t mind the waffle - Regards & stay safe. Peter

      Hi Ray. My camera has no name - got it from China via ebay. I had issues as first did not come so got refund. Second was rubbish and got another refund so tried again and it worked third time lucky. When I wanted one time was the issue and I was ordering again each time before I was refunded.
      Frustrating but that’s how it was..
      Cant help any more than that.
      Regards Peter

    Thanks ..my boiler doesn't have a connection where you cut wires and used a connection block..?

      Hi John. Mine had a connection block as well but as I couldn’t get it to open was why I cut the wires. I thought I made that clear in the video but sorry if I didn’t...

    • @johnhunter6290

      Hi Peter.. yes you did make it clear. The issue I have is I don't have the wires you cut connected to my boiler..need to look deeper

    • @brucepeter2007

      Hi again. The wires I cut were for the 240v AC heating element from the mains when connected...

      The orange and blue connection is just a simple push down, release. Put a small screwdriver in the hole at the top, push down and pull out wire.

    I take photos of wiring into plugs or sockets, from different angles.

    • @brucepeter2007
      @brucepeter2007  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kevin. I didn’t need to do this as all wiring in the heater was colour coded and the sockets on the PCB were keyed so no way they could be connected wrongly.
      The videos were made “as I went” and are a guide not a definitive installation. As there was nothing I could find anywhere on the repair of my Truma heater I decided to post the videos to be of service to others as I hope it was to you.
      Regards Peter

      @@brucepeter2007 yours is the best I've seen but not what I need, mine is the ultrastor rapid the gas valve clunk's then clunk's again and red lights, can't hear any sparks though. Not had chance to get into it yet, it looks like ignition is part of the PCB sadly, Truma stuff is the worst.

    • @brucepeter2007
      @brucepeter2007  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@H4rleyBoy Hi again Kevin. The safety flame device is shutting the gas valve. There is an EHT spark generator situated on the bottom of the control board - make sure it’s not earthing out anywhere and you should always hear the ticking of the spark flashing over the burner. If the burner does not ignite then shutting the gas valve off is the way it should work. If it’s the board that’s faulty it’s a lot of money but check everything over first - not forgetting the fuse on the PCB board.

      @@brucepeter2007 Hi Peter, I just went down to fit the "repaired" PCB but no change, all I get is the valve clunking open, sparking (very faint) then clunking shut and the red light on again.
