- Paxton brings back the 2017 ICE BEAR for some maintenance, a Chinese knock off of the Honda Ruckus. The factory carburetor bowl screws are breakaway bolts making these unserviceable, in this video I extract and replace them making the carburetor serviceable.

The fuel pump was added. That wasn't stock. As for the carburetor they cost about $25. Easier just to get a new one I guess is the thinking with the closed off screws.
I mean if you already have the carb off change the jets to a bigger size because stock are already in the lean setting. Wouldn't hurt to bump the main up 1/2 sizes and the pilot up 1/2 sizes and drop the e clip to the 4th position or add 2 needle shim if not adjustable. My son 150 trike seems like it was starving for fuel and I knew it needed more. They are set up to just be good but your welcome to make them perform better.

Probably because they can still call it a honda and the ruckus is highly modifiable without having to do too much true custom. But i checked one out at a harley shop locally and decided a chuckus was way more value and though its cheap steel i still feel more comfortable on steel than the ruckus which has aluminum parts. I mean it makes so much more sense financially when the cost of a highly customized chuckus is stronger an still cost the same as a stock non stretch stock ruckus and i get 100more cc to work with which a modified chuckus usually are bored 171cc which i really want to do now to mine.
Makes sense to me. Buying a Crapus will give you an idea what junk a GY6 engine is like.
Everything Honda must be made of solid gold because that's the cost of repairing them. The Ruckus cost about 3 grand out of the box and it's still just a scooter. Also the parts for it are ridiculously over priced.

I want to swap out my engine for the gy6 do I just need to order the gym to engine if do I have to change more than the engine? Please help m e out the iri8 engine is beat I have a 2016
Shawn to be honest I am unsure.. This was a customers bike they brought in for carb service and it was already a gy6 bike from the factory... I have done the gy6 swap on ruckus’s before but this was my first time working on an Ice Bear
If you want to swap out the Honda engine for gy6 150cc long shaft you will also need to get the overhead engine mount for it. There are a number of places that make and sell them, Ruckshop is one of the better known theruckshop.com/product/trs-gy6-extension-mount-kit-fatty-gy6-solid-12x8-10x8-or-12x7/ you can either get a new harness or do a littlw research and modify yourself. I would strongly getting a decent carb and not the regular $20 Chinese carb in this video - most Chuckus riders just toss them. I have a slightly modded Gen1 50cc with big bore kit. This what happens when you buy a Crapus. Never ending problems. You're going to spend more time fixing a Crapus than riding it.
Cut it out, Bunkus owners do the same exact thing which is replace all parts to aftermarket parts and replace that 49cc to a CHINESE GY6 engine, and they talk long shit about heads with mad dogs, shit I rather buy a already stretched n dropped scoot with all the bunk parts replaced with some good mods and I’m still paying less than a stock bunkus oh I mean ruckus, but what’s halarious is you can have one of each modified really clean and the bunkus owner always says his is nicer , why? Because he feels his is cleaner because it cost more than the mad dog😂😂 i think it’s the other way around, to all 2 wheel heads, Ride Hard n Ride Safe✌🏼👨🏼🦲👌🏼🛵🏍💯
Only an owner or a fan boy of a bunkus would write a comment like this. Shit Honda bunkus are in the garage more than on the road, trying to make it seem like a ruckus is so reliable n dependable like it’s the ultimate, if the quality is so much superior than why do they modify every single part to make it look like a stock mad dog 👌🏼🤣🤣🤣😭😭
