I busted up the current defunct light switch before it *finally* popped out. Now, I can’t unplug the damn thing! Ha! My boyfriend got it unplugged with a jar gripper & a pair of pliers! Installed the new switch & I’m almost crying. I can’t stop opening and closing my fridge door to see bright light and hear angels singing. Also a painful reminder that now that I can see inside, I have to seriously clean it. I had gone for YEARS thinking I’d need to hire a guy to take the whole fridge apart and charge me $800 to change out a light switch. Thank GOD for your TH-cam video! ❤🥹
would this be the cause of dimmed lights? I tested the light strip with a 9volt battery and it seemed fine, but when it's inside the refrigerator, the lights are extremely dim.
Good stuff. Thank you! Mine had that same residue from arcing, but on the other set of contacts. I just cleaned both sets off with my finger and ran a nail file across the contacts, and the old one is still working perfectly again.
