Thanks for this video. I have a Sovol 07+ that has been going great after I discovered glue sticks, but suddenly nothing sticks. I’m planning to try a G10 plate. The PEI plate is needed to stop the Z down before crashing into the the plate. If I add the G10 1.5 mm how can I prevent the head crashing into the G10? Thanks. I’ve been levelling before every attempt. Next day - I see that using a G10 will not work. I’ve levelled the bed with a spirit level. Did the corner levelling which put the bed way out of whack. What hell is going on here? Update Restored factory settings Manually levelled bed with spirit level. Z tilt Z calibrate Bed level using screws adjust only Bed Mesh Is now printing good again. Thank you :)
did you ever work out why the auto level function comes up with a different value every time, I am having heaps of problems with this printer, it never keeps calibration that works and it can almost never print anything higher than 5cm or so before knocking the print over
did you homing the printer before bed leveling? Sv07 have sensor less homing feature, sometimes if the belt is too tight it might cause homing issue. You extruder should go the most left on x and front of y axis, then park to the center of the build plate when you start with bed leveling.
Great video, I was having some fun figuring this out as SOVOL's documentation on assembling the printer is very well but I find the wire connection and the rest pretty lacking. Using the risers and still having some fun with the "z calibrate", the one that moves back and forth. I keep getting a message saying the probe is getting closer to the bed, not sure why. Just out of curiosity did you go with the springs or the risers? It seems like with the springs you can dial it in a little bit closer but you'd constantly have to check as they become loose over time so I went with the risers as they should be more accurate over a longer period of time.
Yes, you should have more room to manully adjust each corner for better first layer. But like you said, it may requires more adjustment in later day. So I did not go back to the spring and leveling nuts method. I just stay with solid mounts. So far it is doing okay, not the best first layer, but works for most of the prints. One thing I would said, pay attention when you remove the print from build plate. I just rip the PEI coating off the center of my build plate when I take off a TPU part. So highly suggest to bend the build plate when remove parts. PEI coast adhension isn't the best on this build plate.
Z-tilt should be done after bed levelling. There's no point in setting the angle of the z-axis when that angle is going to change when you make bed levelling adjustments.
Restore all settings "restore factory" under "system" menu. Try move the z axis all the way to the top. System will limit the heightest point of travel, you can manully rotate the z coupler on both z axis to the top. Then, homing printer and try again.
Dude, thank you so much for this. Really helped fill in the gaps in the instructions.
glad it helped!
Nice video. Have you had a chance to do the input shaping? There is not documentation included with the unit, which is pretty frustrating.
I didn't, mine ringing test result turn out really good right out of box. So. But I will upload one video soon of how to do the input shaping.
@@SvgLau Thanks! That would be much appreciated.
If I put the adapted I have to put the spring.?

Update
Restored factory settings
Manually levelled bed with spirit level.
Z tilt
Z calibrate
Bed level using screws adjust only
Bed Mesh
Is now printing good again.
Thank you :)

Z leveling does let me lower the nozzle as low that it comes in contact with paper.. why? Presumably my hotbed is too low altogether right?

@@SvgLau is there a way to stop is loosing level whenever you remove the PEI sheet to you can get your parts off?

How ya like the interface
It is easy to use in a daily basis.
Nice video how do I debug - Z-tilt failed! "aborted: probed point range increasing"
