Great episode, again you digged really deep as I‘ve never heard of these bands! But I‘m looking forward to check them out. A most recent discovery is the german band The Night Eternal with their album Fatale that I really like a lot these days…
In Solitude! Loved that album, cheers for the reminder - will give it another spin. I'm not a big metal guy, but that was my go-to recommendation for metal guys circa 2013
Finally some Metal!!! Nice selection Dennis! We have quite similar taste; i’ve got all these in my collection except In Solitude and Reveal, BUT i have Reveal’s debut album “Nocturne of Eyes and Teeth”. I don’t think i can recommend anything you haven’t heard before but here are some tips: 1. The Unjust - Hammerhead (1987). NYC metal by way of hardcore. Insane band mixing rocking crossover with high pitched shrieks and proto-growl. 2. Disabuse - Sorrow and Perdition (1989). The debut EP of this dutch band (that later morphed into a pretty standard gruff hardcore hand) is a unique mix of crossover styled thrash with black metal type vocals. 3. Indestroy - s/t (1987). The best Kill ‘Em All riffs since Kill ‘Em All. Snotty and obnoxious thrash with tons of punk attitude. 4. Medieval - s/t (1986). Short haired biker dudes from Hicksville US that played primitive slow-to-mid-tempo rocking heavy metal with doom leanings. Sounds like no other band from ‘86. 5. Evil Army - s/t (2006). No frills, straight for the throat, raw thrash with perfect vocals and production.
@@Dennisdeepcuts oh cool. When listening to Indestroy start with the track “U.S.S.A.” and with Disabuse start with the track “Fast But Not First”. Could name countless of other great stuff in a similar vein (like X-Creta or Num Skull for instance) but i’m not gonna clutter the comments section too much.
Some great things to check out! Thanks! Reveal is sick and it is awesome that the band does a Saints cover and even does it well! My favorite metal album from the last decade might very depending on the day, but it might be Tomb Mold “The Enduring Spirit”. Hyperdontia and Hulder would be other contenders.
Thanks to your videos and recommendations I have found incredible music. I'm already getting into Reveal's "Doppelherz". What a great surprise. Here are some of the albums that I think are not so very well known and seem to me to be the best that the world of extreme metal has given in recent years. - TRAP THEM “DARKER HANDCRAFT” 2011. Grindcore metal with killer catchy groovy riffing and drumming. The vocals and overall production crushes. - CRAFT “FUCK THE UNIVERSE” 2005. It became my favorite black metal album since I heard it. Great musicality and surprisingly enjoyable. Great musical ideas of these guys. - MORBUS CHRON “SWEVEN” 2014. Super interesting mix of classic progressive metal with death metal vocals. Full of incredible passages. - WORMROT “VOICES” 2016. Impressive explosive mix of grindcore metal and sometimes alternative emotional vibes. Very innovative. There’s something very special about how this album draws from outside the walls of grindcore metal. - LOCK UP “HATE BREEDS SUFFERING” 2002. Fast as hell and explosive pure death grind metal with Tompa Lindberg, Nic Barker, Shane Embury and the master lord Jesse Pintado. There's nothing more to say with that lineup. - RIPPED TO SHREDDS “JUBIAN” 2022. This death metal album is packed with crushing riffs and satisfying moments. Technicality, proggy turns, and even smatterings of grind, melodeath and death-doom. They compiled the best of those killer worlds.
mammoth grinder - underworlds from ‘13 really hits the sweet spot for me, it’s old death metal & crusty hardcore in a perfect blend you don’t find very often, 10/10
I may have grown up in Brisbane, Australia, which is about as far away from Umeå, Sweden as you can get - but I reckon Dennis and I would have been BFF's back in the day if we lived next door to each other 😆
Hi Dennis! I would recommend Anacrusis-Screams And Whispers. Strange avant-garde technical thrash with lots of other influences! Pretty far out and still sounds original. Greets, Mark from Holland
Favorite metal band has to be Voivod. I saw them live again recently and they are as good as they have ever been, and they are exceedingly approachable people.
I don't really listen to Thrash Metal except for some Kreator, Municipal Waste and Sepultura, so... I'm saying a few names of galician and spanish Thrash bands you'd probably never hear about if it wasn't for me and it's up to you to listen to them or not because they may or may not be crap :) - Strikeback (A Coruña) - Mutant Squad (Santiago de Compostela) - Blast Off (Tui) - Angelus Apatrida (Albacete) - Lethal Vice (Vigo) There are literally hundreds of metal bands in the galician scene but my memory is not that good.
Best Metal record of the last decade for me is Cattle Decapitation' s 'Death Atlas'. Prefer Sacrilege UK. Such a crucial record. Discharge's 'Shootin' Up The World' is a great record but the vocals are fucking weird. RIP Thee Slayer Hippie...
There is a Sacrilege from NYC that was an antecedent to the NYC Nausea and is worth checking out if you like raw, metallic HC. The band’s demo was reissued by Radio Raheem Records and I like it quite a lot.
Love the rambling, my friend. More!

I always find stuff I've never heard of with these videos. Keep up the good work!

looking forward to checking out Reveal
I dig both Sacrilege bands. Loved them both in the 80s.
I really like that In Solitude album too. My favourite metal album from the past 10 years would be Oranssi Pazuzu - Värähtelijä.

It was really inspiring.🤘

Holy shit, i'm listening to Reveal right now for the first time. Instantly hooked.
Yes! Can’t wait! Keep up the great work Dennis!

Check out Generation of Vipers from Johnson City TN and Mansion from Finland. A couple of my recent favorites. Also Qaalm from L.A.

I don’t doubt it.
“Quadra” was/is pretty mind blowing to me. Even after so many years and albums (and members😅), sepultura managed to put out such a good album.
Someone plz make playlists for all of these episodes 🙏🙏🙏
now’s a perfect time to learn some self reliance.
Hi Dennis! I would recommend Anacrusis-Screams And Whispers. Strange avant-garde technical thrash with lots of other influences! Pretty far out and still sounds original. Greets, Mark from Holland
Luv U, maN!! Obrigado pelo "Idles"!
Favorite metal band has to be Voivod. I saw them live again recently and they are as good as they have ever been, and they are exceedingly approachable people.
They are my favorite metal band. I’m going to spoil that list right away. 😀
@Dennisdeepcuts To date myself even further Dennis, I was briefly pen pals with Piggy during the Killing Technology era.
for my album, Colors 2 by Between the buried and me

I would recommend forced entry, super underrated band
Morbid Saint - Spectrum Of Death

Check out Bomb Disneyland, Cerebral Fix, Jim Jones And The Kool Aid Kids.
Sacrilege and Sacrilege seem cool, but have you ever heard of... Sacrilege?
Fuck. I need to check them out.

@@Dennisdeepcutshello, could you make a video about vocals to sing and shout the same way, you are unique. please
meddl loide!
Been thinking of the best metal album of the last 10 years. And it is probably: Hidden history of the human race by Blood Incantation
This is a fantastic answer. This album holds up with the iconic greats of the genre.
Dude, you gotta show the band‘s names. I couldn‘t make outhalf of the names. Cheers!
