Thank you for this! I've been feeling convicted about this off and on for a while now, but having converted to Christianity from an extremely leagalistic and unbiblical religion, I wanted to make sure I was doing this because the Lord wanted it, not just because I'm used to having long lists of rules to follow, you know?

Oh totally understandable, I see what you’re saying.
      Definitely pray about it.
If you feel led to then wear one- also see how it feels wearing it.
Like for me, it felt weird to pray the rosary when I tried that once🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
The answer is already inside of you:)
      Take care
      God bless you:)

I encourage you to just honestly read 1 Cor 11 when you are at a place that you are fully open/surrendered to God. Ask what He is asking. It really doesn't matter how you feel. It does matter what our loving heavenly Father is calling us to and says in the Bible.
If God guides you to pursue this further, "The Headcovering Movement" can be a helpful resource.
Edit: Listen to the Holy Spirit and your conscience, not just emotions.

This video was really lovely. I definitely feel that Christian women are called to cover their heads. It's definitely not easy though, as there doesn't seem to be much support for it amongst fellow Christians which is sad. Please never take this video down, no matter what direction your youtube channel takes as it is a very encouraging and dare I say raw video.

We don't serve the same God though and that's the problem. The Jews (most) do not accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah , Muslims don't accept Yeshua as God in the flesh therefore you reject the Father because you all reject His Word. There is one truth and that's Christ Jesus of Nazareth.
He died for our sins and rose again 3 days later and is now sitting at the right hand of the Father.

The proof women wear veils is ALSO found in the adultery test (she had to take OFF her veil to be judged, she could not have taken off her hair). I would encourage you to wear it except when you are with your husband. I would also like encourage you to wear tops that are scoop neck (the styles today get us in trouble too) HUGS, thank you for the video.

Also, here's some verses in the OT about head covering if anyone is interested. Hope these help if anyone wants to read them.
Isaiah 47:1-2. Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called tender and delicate. Take the millstones and grind flour, "put off your veil", strip off your robe, uncover your legs, pass through the rivers.
(So as we can see, even virgins were to keep their heads covered and save their hair for their husbands. Otherwise it is like they are showing all their nakedness).
Numbers 5:18. Then the priest shall stand the woman before the LORD, "uncover the woman’s head," and put the offering for remembering in her hands, which is the grain offering of jealousy. And the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that brings a curse.
Also Genesis 20:16 says in the Hebrew
Then to Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver; indeed this is "a covering for her eyes" (to put back on her wedding covering) you before all who are with you and before everybody.” Thus she was rebuked.
From what I understand In Genesis 24:65. Rebekah covers herself because the bridal price has already been paid. 2 vrs later we see Isaac take Rebekah bright away into his tent. There was no wedding ceremony. Her covering herself was an outward show of her marriage to Isaac. Since they were married he was allowed to take her right away into his tent and "uncover" her.

I see headcovering as a crown for a daughter of the King of the Universe, a physical symbol of the spiritual protection. I see Numbers 5:18 (headcovering was removed during the adultery test) as hinting at this point. Isaiah 47:2 and psalm 140:2 also hint at headcovering.

    • @mom4christ191
      @mom4christ191 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Thank you so much for sharing this. I felt called to cover a few years ago and have found so much joy, peace, and comfor in it. And I feel way less attacked by the enemy. My mind is way more calm and at peace since covering. I'm assuming it has to do with the section about our covered heads being a symbol of us being under authority to angles in 1 Cor 11:10?
Covering has really helped me to humble myself, especially in a world of looks and outward appearances meaning so much, which sadly is even in the church. We are called to be set apart, different, unusual, spotless, and blamelesss, not look and act like the world around us. I was called out publicly for it in church from the pulpit which was so embarrassing, but I didn't let it get to me too much becuase people have been taught wrongly. And yes, when God called me to cover, I struggled with the feminismic attitude of not wanting to humble myself under my husband. I grew up in the church and had never known anyone to cover and never heard teaching on it, so I can see how people simply don't understand it. In my research I studied 1 Cor 11 for months and months. Especailly looking into the meanings in Greek.
The word for covering in 1 Corthians 11:4, 5,6,7, 13, is the word, katakalýptō, from katá, "down, and kalýptō, "to cover"-cover down, to make appropriate (complete), i.e. to wear a veil.
It is the same word used for the veil that separated the Holy of holies from the priests. It is clearly taking about a peice of fabric.
But vrs 15 does NOT use the same word for covering. Vrs 15. "but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering."
This is a different word for "cover"= "peribolaion," that which is thrown around or a mantel that can be thrown around (As in when a women tosses or throws her hair around, or a mantel that rest on the shoulders. So hair is considered long if it touches the shoulders) tossing the hair can be very alluring to men.
This is where we get the saying, "Let your hair down."
Up until only the last generation woman covered in Church. It was only during the sexual revolution that Chriatin women in North America stopped covering their heads. ALL of our grandmothers would have covered in church. This is why the Hutterites, Mennonites, Amish, orthodox churches, and messiniac Jews (Jews who beleive in Jesus), a lot of African congratations, etc still cover their hair.
We are not supposed to be like the world. Thank you so much for sharing.

I kinda felt the same but then I got a new perspective. If you mom tells you to clean your room and you're like it's not on my heart to do that..that's not gonna fly. Loving someone is respect and obedience. So if our Heavenly Father is telling us to do something we should obey as respect to him.
Conviction is another topic though. I cover cause I'm convicted. If someone else is not I'm not going to judge them. It's our own personal journeys w God.
I hope this helps and makes sense? :-)

Hi Lizaan lemme know if you get this. I'm feeling like you about the head covering. I'm not sure if I really need to cover my head. I believe my hair is my covering. I'm not in another country I'm here in our country. I do like clothes with hoods and am comfy when I go outside with my hood on but I think it's because I'm a prophetic person. You know there is so much on our appearance instead of our spirits. It leads us into legalism it seems and those are rules that Jesus passes up. Laws he got rid of. Now the new covenant is Jesus whom we can love and make it to heaven without a set of rules. I feel as long as he puts it iny heart to do I will follow thru but right now he hasn't. Lemme know you got this. Alot of my comments aren't going thru.

Is it just me or since the pandemic began has anyone else felt a strong pull to wear coverings, toss out Christmas trees, stop celebrating actual easter (I use to be pagan and EASTER is a pagan practice to worship a goddess, and yet churches have Easter egg hunts what the heck?) I feel pulled to homeschool. I feel strong pulls to pray nonstop and to homeschool bible based.
I don't know what's happening but I've even felt pulled to reach out about this. We don't attend local churches anymore bc they all preach prosperity and are mega churches or catholic. I want God in the raw. Not hidden under fundraising for vacations and sitting on stadium seating while you have to meet a credit score to be a member. Especially when Christ turned money making tables over in the temple. Yet they sell their gym memberships and coffee shop sitting so all the kids whom came in hungry can pass watching the wealthy kids eating breakfast as they enter the chapel. Its sick.
I feel nothing of God in these buildings. Nothing. It's a money maker. Period. Church is the body the ppl ... Does anyone see and feel these things?
Since feeling these convictions we've experienced some pretty significant spiritual attacks and yet God continues to take care of us. We have a war going on in our home. Somehow our family of six has survived 2 years with almost nothing for income. My son I was witnessed literal demons and my daughters consistently attacked. It would be wonderful to know that this is happening this wave of waking up, is happening to Christians everywhere not just us.

Yes during the pandemic I lost all my family not to covid but to other causes of unusual deaths (4) & then abandonment by my own mother. While my brother oppressed me financially stealing from me. And I'm disabled & all alone in suburbia with neighbors who are uncaring & cold. Been betrayed by all family. Some are so called Christians whom I've taken care of when they needed me financially & emotionally but abandoned me when I needed them the most. Riding out the pandemic all alone with no help. Wanted to give up many times. But still here.

Angel B L Sullivan ua on the right track . people found others celebrating holidays n joined in blindly without knowing exactly wat they are celebrating.Like I have never encountered in any book of the Bible a verse stating that Jesus Christ was born on 25th Dec.He also never celebrating his own birthday so if we are following his steps ,where dd this come from?also the names like Monday or Feb are man invented the Bible just says 3rd day or 10th month so we can't know exactly when it says 1st day wat it means Cox for example one can start working on Tues n that will b their first day another start work on Saturday n that still will b their first day . However ave not exausted to reading the entire Bible and as body of Christ we need to help each other so if anyone has a verse on the day n date the Messiah was born kindly share with me otherwise we might find ourselves in idol worship
To those sisters saying they fear how people will think about them or how they will b seen as wiered, brethren ,we are living for Christ Jesus not men....let them have their opinion but it shd not matter to u.mind doing wat is right bfo the eyes of Christ even if men may rebuke u n feel it's wrong .The world has decided to live in the dark so anyone who sees light they want to extinguish it so that they become uniform. This is a world of fashion but the Bible says we shd not conform to its patterns n culture in the book of Romans. Also in 1st John the Bible says whoever loves the world with its things, the love for Christ Jesus is not in that person.
Let's pray that the Holy spirit convicts n teaches us exactly wat is required of Christian women who are struggling to reach heaven esp on this issue of head covering coz am also not yet covering always coz ave also not understood the scriptures well about the same issue.May Jesus Christ speak to us individually about it
Thanks for the video my sis.Tho I think if u have to cover ua head no part of the hair shd b left out .b blessed all

Definitely mostly everything you just mentioned is happening to me!! God is waking us up!! We are in the beginning of the last days. Jesus is coming soon and He is preparing us for His glory. He trying to get our attention and those who truly want to follow Him will obey and take up that cross daily. Listen I also realized that almost all mainstream holidays are pagan rooted. I have stopped celebrating these holidays probably for almost 2 years now and I feel super liberated even thought everyone thinks I'm crazy. Listen even birthdays are pagan. Look it up. The church if Satan says that birthdays are the most highly important days they celebrate bc it places "self" on a pedestal.

Amen sister. Thank you so much for sharing this. I felt called to cover a few years ago and have found so much joy, peace and comfor in it.
I was called out publicly for it in church from the pulpit which was so embarrassing, but I didn't let it get to me too much becuase people have been taught differently.

This was a big topic for me coming out of nearly 10 years of legalistic fundamentalism where head coverings and having long hair were mandatory for the women of our church. After many years of prayer about these verses God was gracious and showed me that this teaching on long hair and head coverings has no parallel under the OT type and shadow of Christian doctrine. Sound Christian doctrine is found in the OT blueprint such as sacrificial lamb, baptisms and out of servitude into a place of liberty and provision. This answer to these verses while utterly thrilling and liberating left me with a major headache. If they are not to be acted upon why are they there. After a couple of weeks of prayer ( so quick ) I had a verse coming to me 1 Cor 7 1..... now concerning the things whereof you wrote unto me !!!!!!! NOW....concerning the things YOU WROTE UNTO ME...... Paul covered these things because the corinthians had written to him about them. And then at the end of his discourse on their questions he finishes with his statement .....nevertheless we have no such customs neither do the churches of God. 1 Cor 11 16 WOW!!!

Some women like to wear a headband, cap, hat or even a hair tie that contains the Ten Commandments in order to obey Deut. 6:8-9. Because it says it is for the children and not just men or women. It normally doesn't cover all the hair as Paul describes.
Those coverings are come to be known as the armour of God. There are eight pieces that many are seaching for. There is the head, both hands, the belt, breastplate, heart and feet. Exactly what are they, what do they contain? Jesus tells us that if we love Him to keep His words for they are spirit and they are life, Maybe that is the spirit we are to walk in. We just need more work and workers.
God grafted Christians into Israel so the O.T. wasn't just given to the Jews but Christian as well. Those commands God gives to His children is for all who believes in Jesus. The O.T. is our school master just as the Prophets and N.T.. ALL scripture is inspired.

A sister began getting Attacked and as.she sought the Lord it was because of this. As she stopped blaspheming the attacks stopped. it was a profound lesson for me let alone her who was allowed to be attacked!
Another teenage sister began having nightmare attacks .. the reason - the labels she was wearing supported LGBT. (Interesting what Father allows to get our attention!) This is only one layer of the Marine Kingdom. If you are willing to ask Father and be even more modest dear sister, seek him about those tanks and shorts :) when I was awakened I did a wardrobe clean out. Then when i was delivered from the marine kingdom, yet another wardrobe cleanup! Phew NARROW is the path that leads to life. #holiness # modestwomanofgod

I am old enough to remember when my mother and sister regularly wore a hat or head covering to church. This was in the 1950s. Then the 60s cultural and sexual rebellion hit and even Catholics (we were Evangelicals) dropped the practice due to Vatican II.
However, there appears to be a revival of head coverings amongst Christians--Protestant and Catholic.
As for me, I became convinced that Paul was serious in 1Corinthians 11 while in seminary.

I wore a veil and a long dress to Walmart. I got treated like a queen. Verses 5 through 7, as well as verse 13, of 1 Corinthians 11 use a form of the Greek word for "veiled", κατακαλύπτω katakalupto; this is contrasted with the Greek word περιβόλαιον peribolaion, which is mentioned in verse 15 of the same chapter, in reference to "something cast around" as with the "hair of a woman … like a mantle cast around". These separate Greek words indicate that there are thus two headcoverings that Paul states are compulsory for Christian women to wear, a cloth veil and her natural hair.

My dear sister, I'm glad you recognize the need for a headcovering but your understanding of when and why is lacking.
In Gen 24 Rebecca is traveling with a group of people (which included men) so why does she only cover her head when she sees Isaac? Is she a deceptive woman, attempting to appear one way before her prospective husband, when she doesn't do it the rest of the time? If you say no, then why does she only put it on when she sees him? Does it have anything to do with 1Cor 11?
    As for 1Corinthians 11:
    - who is Paul addressing?
    > men and women, men and wives, husbands and wives, or just women?
(Hints: 1. is one sex told to do something while the other can do whatever they want? 2. If both sexes are involved, can A) unmarried wear headcoverings? And B) are there any Greek indicators in the text that would lead us to conclude Paul is addressing wives?)
    - what is the context for when his order is to be carried out?
    > all the time or just during the cultic gathering (church services).
    - Is this a cultural issue or or something for the whole church?
    > was it just for the Corinthians or did Paul teach the same thing to other churches?
    > was it just for the first century or is it for today?
    - What does the uncovered head of the man and covered head of the woman (I'm giving away my position) symbolize?
    > Can we change the symbol?
I encourage you to think through these questions.

The greek translation of headcovering (katakalupto) in the context of the verses related to this does not relate to hair (peribolaion). So it's very clear that head coverings are meant to be a vail. When paul speaks of covering he uses "katakalupto". When he uses hair, he uses "peribolaion". This is also verifiable in other bible verses.

In Genesis 24; 65 this is where the wearing of Veil for a woman on her wedding day stems from. 😊 The Good News Translation says "...she took her scarf and covered her face."
1 Corinthians 11 is specific speakers on when you worship God and to man and woman that are married. The woman covers her head to show that she is under her husband's authority because the man is under Christ authority a man doesn't need to because a man carries the head of Christ.

I've seen your recent videos (but not watched). Are you having wobly moments in your faith? Do you need us to pray for you? You seem to have wandered from the faith. Let us know, and we'll earnestly pray God reveals himself to you and thay you return to the Father. It's never too late to do that- He is waiting for you, his daughter, with open arms due to the blood of his son, Jesus Christ. Xx

it says in 1 corinthians 13:16 Judge amoung yourselves. is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair , it is a dishonor to him ? But if a woman has long hair , it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering . But if anyone seems to be contentious , we no such custom , nor do the churches of God.
the 5 books of the O.T was the Law for Gods people the isrealites (Jews) in the new testament has Jesus commanded women to wear hand coverings ? its not a material head covering , its bout the head in th home , head of your home has to be God at all times then the husband and wife , the marriage , children comes family then work career God is our covering , the bible is a spiritual book trust in God in all things , the pharasees was all bout law rules regulations , look at other books such as the believers bible commentary see there translations are bout it

You should dress modestly. Your hair/head can
      be uncovered for that.
As you can read below, women were not wearing
a fabric head covering in public. If they were, the
braided hair would not have been seen.
There is also nothing in the scriptures below about
how women should be covering their heads with a
fabric covering in a public setting. It's mostly about
wearing "respectable apparel" and not wearing a lot
      of costly jewelry.
...likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire,...
      -excerpt 1 Timothy 2 ESV
Do not let your adorning be external-the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear- but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart...

This is the first video I have seen of you. I know nothing about you, but I would encourage you to dress this way any time you are in public or in front of a camera.
The real meaning of the headcovering is about submission to your head, whether it is your father, your husband, or christ.
If you are married, christ wants you to submit to your husband, in case it wasnt clear enough in the bible. If you are young christ wants you to submit to your father, if you have moved out but are single you are to submit to christ, though I would not say to neglect your earthly fathers guidance.
If your husband doesnt like it, tell him what it means and act accordingly, he might just change his mind.
You will have power on your head because of the angels. I dont thjnk I can explain what that means, but Godly dress and demeanor on a woman has more effect on men than you may realize. I have seen some of the roughest men treat my grandmother like a queen, and then completely ignore her worldly friend. They will be swearing like a sailor and when they see her they figuratively put thier tail between thier legs and apologize. However you can also see evil men that put on a friendly facade despise her, but none even think of hurting her.
I have seen similar things with young women as well, I just dont have as much experience with them.
