Thanks for your service Tommy. My Dad was career Navy. USN 1938 - 1947. Medically discharged as Chief Petty Officer. Went the Carpentry route which was damage control during WW2, even served on Ocean going tugs bringing in damaged Warships. Very tough job.

Thanks Tommy, Navy brother, for your very openness about major life events and challenges. You are not regarding family issues. Each family has its challenges, some have more, some have less. About your Navy career, all I can comment is that you gave it your best. This is what really matters. I did four years in the Marines and I can only believe I gave it my best. About your past issues with jealousy or insecurities, read Bradshaw's books; he was a psychologist. Much of our adult behaviors are rooted in our family upbringing and life. Now, that you are a civilian, nothing wrong with that, dedicate your focus to your family. You are in a new and different life chapter of your life.

John Bradshaw and Jack Canfield are the authors names. You are not alone. Each one of us has had life challenges. As I continually evolve, I am still working on me. In my opinion, one of the hardest challenges anyone can encounter is changing certain behaviors about oneself.
