- Combat Veteran Rolland Fayssoux left for Marine Corps boot camp at seventeen and later served in an anti-terrorism security force unit at Bangor, WA. From there he was assigned to 2nd Battalion 2nd Marines and was part of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. In this episode of Urban Valor Rolland talks us through his experience touring the Middle East and what it was like returning home. He explaines his experience in the War in Iraq and the invasion of Iraq in detail speaking of the misery of war he faced. Rolland is honest, raw, and open during the conversation and he shows incredible courage as he shares his story.
We appreciate you Rolland and thank you so much!

So relatable Marine. Proud of you for keeping on!

Stand up don't be down in the dumps so true
Who is the interviewer on this video? I heard Kevin, and the voice sounds like Kevin from another video I just watched. If it is the same Kevin... I'm very happy to see that you're doing this! Regardless, These videos help people possibly more than you can ever know.
My partner at Urban Valor, Co-Founder and Marine Combat Veteran, Josh Gutierrez does the interviews.
We didn't realize the impact we were making until we truly got to see it like everyone else.
The conversations after these stories come out, the thank you messages, the appreciation, we've already seen potentially LIFE-SAVING results from these videos.
It's unbelievable, and why we will keep sharing! It's messages like yours that push us to keep working our tails off and investing so much into Urban Valor! We're so thankful!
@@UrbanValorTV thank you.
God Bless you!!!!🙏🙌
It’s funny the Marines have an Easy company too. The Army actually has had a company in 101st by that name since WWII.
E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division
The MCSFB at Bangor WA is the worst job in the USMC.
Bro he looks so young

The ol wise Fays
It was Al shantrah. I remember Easy co 2/2 1st plt lighting up an insurgent with extreme prejudice….I think they they fired an AT-4. While they were lighting the dude up my platoon(second platoon) maintained our position and was super jelly of 1st platoon.
this guy was cool...
This guys badass!! ❤
I love this channel
I retired in 96!
I'm still waiting for the story.
I thought this was Tommy Egan in the thumbnail lol
Watching this while eating a MRE Pepperoni Pizza.
Military people can be surprisingly very intellectual and academically bright despite what we commonly assume, saw a fascinating random IQ test the marine 130 and PHD student 110 wow, an Engineer 120 and Accountant was 110.
There are so many intellectual marines. Some are bottom of the barrel dumb lol. But a lot of them are very smart.
@@simonagibby8554 I used to be in Australian Services soldiers vary in intelligence, I have average intelligence earned a BBus and Grad Dip of Finance by pounding the books after my military service.
