I live in Bayside in north Everett on the Rucker hill area. Love it here.pretty close to waterfront activities, parks, community gardens, etc. Safe, low crime, well patrolled, home break ins extremely rare. Close to Prove and naval base. Traffic here is moderate in this area. Lots of families and retired military. Well manicured lawns steps away from some excellent little cafes. Wouldn't love.anywhere else. Rents are going up, just like other places
It's really cool right?! I actually visited there and shot some video for the "Top 5 Reasons To Move To Everett" video. th-cam.com/video/d-5kT07Lu3Y/w-d-xo.html
I remember everett being quite boring. The bad part was living so far away from seattle and anything cultural / experiences. The traffic alone was killer. Even everett homeprices are insane now.
Seattle is far more exciting than Everett, but if you want a smaller town vibe, I can understand why that would appeal. But if you want theater, concerts, outdoor events, art festivals, and etc., you may be disappointed in Everett. Seattle would be a better choice than Everett.
I also think the Everett traffic is worse because its right there at the junction with the 2. Everett is on that thin strip of land where you can only make roads so wide - but the access to the 2 is not wide and not enough lanes to get people across that river channel. I think people bought cheaper homes on the other side off of the 2 like in monroe and out there - but what happens is a funneling effect. You can easily sit in everett traffic for 3 hours even if you leave early when you try to leave the local area for a summer sunny day. Then you lose half of your adventure time..
I live and work inEverett. I bought a craftsman style home that was built in 1922, in the Port Gardner neighborhood. The city is walkable, shops, mountain and water views. My commute is only 10-15 minutes away. The city is getting better. Your money goes farther here.
Hi mg, I would probably look into the annual reports the Everett Police Department issues to get further details on that. There are also several other online resources that can give you data on the statistics.

The new Everett waterfront is really nice, love the new pedestrian bridge over W Marine View Dr.

I thinks it's changed quite a bit from what I can remember of Everett growing up. Not the most happening of places but quite a bit to do these days.

It doesn't have lightrail but it does have the sounder train that goes everett-mukilteo-edmonds-seattle that runs during rush hour hours.
LOL Loving Lynnwood is like loving Renton. The home of big hair.

The Trestle is definitely a bottleneck spot that is a headache. Wouldn't want to have to do that everyday!

Everett is Spokane's sister city. They have pretty much the same problems
Yep, lot's of big cities deal with these same issues.
West on Casino Rd., you were referring to East Casino .
Is it only on those highlighted area that is high crime?

I really don't understand how it's possible for a HOUSEHOLD to have an income of $86,000/yr and afford a mortgage on a $400k condo.
Marry and then long 30 year mortgage and live or rent it for more 😢
Do not move to Everett. Don't need anymore people.
