I'm 30 minutes away & see it too. Not as bad here yet... but in 1991 I walked pioneer square at night as a highschooler. Was safe.

After living in Seattle 30+ years, I'm glad I escaped. It's a great city to build a career. Unless you are uber rich it is not the place to be retired in. Most people in Seattle are not from Seattle, and most of them don't plan on staying in Seattle. That creates an apathy towards the long term health of the community in regards to its politics and infrastructure.
Yo, I’m a lifelong California resident, live about an hour east of Sacramento and starts to get dark around 4:30 in the winter, so not much difference tho. However during the winter season it may get as high as mid 60°s, but that is only about 15% of the winter season.
Those of us that grew up here and aren't in the IT category find it almost unlivable. It looks like we will finally be electing a conservative Governor. That would change everything.
I ma thinking of migrating there from Pakistan with a tech degree (and doing a masters in usa too ) it's weather seems perfect to me do u think with those qualifications I would be able to live a good life

Houses that were $25,000 5 years ago are now one million dollars. 27% of all people in King County were not born in the United States. This will be coming to an end.
