I still can't believe you read this. This book has stuck with me for years. It hurts but it is one if not her best-written books. However, I'm traumatized for life lol.

It took me 10 years to read it. It's been sitting on my shelf that long. Finally got to it but you are correct. It's definitely one of her best books.

SAME!!!! I read it the year it came out and I still think about it. It’s not one that I recommend even though it was so well written , because it is a LOT. It’s a great book but I would never read it again.

Great review. You did such a great job explaining the book without giving it all away.

Thanks, Didi. Will definitely pick it up. I still remember Ayiti, her short stories, and Hunger.

Yes Ayiti is really good too. This one is excellent but intense.

Good review. It didn't give away too much but was just the right amount of info. The way its written sounds like something I'd read but also thanks for the trigger warning because yeah not sure if I could read it from the sound of it.

Glad you enjoyed it! It really does need a trigger warning.
