Those hydraulic hoses seem way too long. Or is it just me?
Greater separation from the frame generates vortexes which reduce aerodynamic drag
If I worked in specialized, I would make this Aethos the lightest bike. I will put 1) eebrake direct mount, 2) Gelu k3 34 gr saddle 3) tires Hutchinson Fusion A5 207 gr. that would be interesting. I brought it up to 5 kg
pretty sure aethos is disc brake only

Bof 6kgs.... without bottle supports, pedals, computer and support...... far of my Sworks SL6 with brake rims at 6.3 kgs full equipped !!!!

Put a Dura Ace Di2 on the bike and a normal power saddle instead and of mirror version and the bike will be even lighter!
En with the DI2 it will shift better too.

Tell me I'm wrong, I used to work as a mechanic and when fitting anything with threads like the threaded BB or the screws holding the calipers to the frame, or pedals to cranks etc I would always add some lubricant. Is that not advisable?

Think about it, a 8 or 9 hundred gram frame versus a 7 hundred gram frame. It takes a lot of carbon material to remove 1 to 2 hundred grams from a frame. Do you trust your life on something that thin? Are you feeling lucky today?
They don’t just ‘remove’ the carbon as such in order to make it lighter. The layup of the carbon fibres is varied using different manufacturing methods in these more expensive, lighter frames, which gives better strength, rigidity and stiffness using less carbon, thus making it lighter. It hasn’t just been removed. :)

This might be nice for a small frame person, but me with 90kg at 1.93 m I think I would wreck the bike on the first climb or kill myself goon down the first descent with those wobbly wheels.
