I've built many bikes in my life. Even a DI2 once, as a mechanic. I've never seen this done before. Very informative. I'm a big Campagnolo fan. Thank you.
Correct, best-looking disc rotors in the market! Looking like actual brake discs, not like cracked saucers like those from the bigger of the two S-brand manufacturers.
This bike was really easy to assemble th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
Cable ties for the junction box, ripping the installation tape (not cutting or using rubber tape) , no heat shrink to the hoses and wires 😱😱😱, the roadie perfectionist in me shudders 😢
Why did you use the Pro One Tubeless (TLE) tyre with tubes for the build? The Tube-Only Pro One would be even lighter and you run the tyres with tubes either way.
What did you do about the "proprietary" front fork flat mount adaptor. I am under the impression the 160mm integrated flat mount campy caliper will not work with an Aethos build I am thinking about. Is this a 140 caliper with 140 rotor? Can you clarify? Thanks for your time!
@@oreocarlton3343 .... and worse braking and narrower gear range and less reliable frame construction and more rolling resistance and less comfort and less traction and worse handling ...
Brilliant bike build!!! But finishing kit not to my tastes!!! Strange inner tubes!! Does the bike builder like fishing..... seemingly pretty good it it for this build 😀😂

@@roadbikechannel Read about that. That's why I wrote "starting around". I know quite a few people in the 1.88-1.95 m height range to ride 60-62 cm frames.
@@roadbikechannel nice bike, just a bit smaller than your rider and thinking of similar ride myself. We , larger guys should get 32’ wheels from the bike industry:) for us 28’ is like bmx

This is the kind of bike that I hope to have the opportunity to ride once in a lifetime.
I don't understand why people dislike this.
Maybe they prefer to ride some other brands bike? ;)
Beautiful build and awesome groupset
Aethos very special!
Nice scratch on the BB... One problem with the Campag BB it does not stop the tool from touching the frame. Sad about the stem junction box.
Don't usually go with Campag but damn those disc rotors look amazing. Gorgeous looking bike
It's a beauty indeed! ;)

Awesome jov, thanks for share with quality. 🔝🔝🔝
Thanks! ;)
Interesting group set choice. One of the most beautiful aethos frameset colors out there
We're absolutely in love with this colour too. The Super Record EPS is something special for sure! ;)
The Spintest was relatively ok. Far from perfect but miles better than 95% of what I saw compared to other bikes on this Channel.
Beautiful Job 🙏👍🔥🇵🇷💯
Thank you! :)
Finally a build with actual dream components: Campagnolo Super Record. That bar tape is available in a colour matching the frame's, btw.
The bar tape would probably have been a nice touch indeed. Yea, it truely is a dream build! ;)
Nice to see a dream bike with campagnolo EPS. Why wouldn’t you use the DTI bar end junction available with EPS v4?
We too like the Campa EPS ;). The bar end interface would also be a nice feature for sure!
Curious in why you did not use the Roval one piece bar/stem and find something to do with that junction box. Otherwise very nice.
Wow, amazing ¡¡¡
Thank you! :)
why didn't I see a single torque wrench? edit: oh he used it for the saddle, but he gripped it wrongly??
I wish I had that bike
It's definitely a dream build ;).
@@roadbikechannel yesssss!
🥰🤘s works
Love the chainbreak tool - seems a speciel campy one.for pro workshop use. Please send me the tools when you retire....,-)
it's a really nice one! Hopefully there will be many more dreambuilds before we retire ;)...
There is a budget version from Park Tool for...oh, it WAS. CT-11 ($60 then). Now it's the CT-15 for $150.
👍👍
Thanks! ;)

Hambini heart attack at that BB - 3.5 turns?

what have you used join cables? it's not heat shrink

Hi Taylor. Indeed the 160mm caliper doesn't work for 160mm discs on the Aethos fork. We've used a 140mm flat mount caliper on a 160mm disc instead.
6.7 KGS on a 61 size bike?!?!? stunning. That said, I'm so used to my internal routing bike, that I can´t love non cable-hidden bikes anymore
Yea, it's a small weight for a big bike and internal cable routing is simply beautiful! ;)
Bikes from the 90s had the same weight

Are Roval wheels compatible with Campagnolo? thanks
As long as you've got the right free hub-body they are ;).
🔥👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks! :)

Thanks! The new Schwalbe Aerotan tubes do a great job by the way ;).
Can not see the green color frame on the website, where to buy it?

I am sure that the owner of this bike is a looong man
He is :D...
Need!!!
Want!!
Disc rub at 11:10 ?
You're a careful listener :D. There was no disc rub in the end ;).
Lovely build..... but I cant be the only one who still thinks these levers are comically large, same deal with sram 🤷♂️
What is that device under stem?
uuuuf size 61, it's for a giant
61 cm frames are for people of a height starting around 1,85 to 1,9 m. That's tall but not "giant".
The rider is a bit taller than 1,90m. ;)
@@roadbikechannel Read about that. That's why I wrote "starting around". I know quite a few people in the 1.88-1.95 m height range to ride 60-62 cm frames.
That bike must be for Yao Ming.
Why that handlebar and stem so heavy?
The rider is nearly 2m tall and has around 95kg, that's why we decided to play it safe with an aluminium stem and handlebar.
Why are* that handlebar and stem ...
what kind of inner tubes are those?
Those are the new Aerothan tubes from Schwalbe: th-cam.com/video/eiqfIB6dNr0/w-d-xo.html
He connected the rear mech with power unit cable.. they’re colour coded.. 🤷🏽♂️
Have you found who was the murderer?
Neh heavy than factor o2 vam 😂
... heavier* than ...
keep in mind that it's for a guy from almost 2m ;)
@@roadbikechannel i see
Unfortunately it is a ridicoulos size... Think to a 54 size, maybe it should be close to 6.0 kg!
Yeah, the rider is nearly 2m tall and comes close to 95kg. Last year we built a size 56 with only 5,65kg th-cam.com/video/ah9KxI5uAOw/w-d-xo.html

That stem is a downgrade for that build. It may be light but I've had 1 break on me.
Oh dear. Hope you're doing alright after breaking a stem?
Crappy handlebar tape…low quality. That bike deserves better.
Why spend a load of money on something you replace and throw away every few months? That 8 € Deda tape does everything that a bar tape needs to do.
Better to have lower quality bartape the customer likes rather than higher quality he doesn't like or needs
Beautiful Job 🙏👍🔥🇵🇷💯
