Junior was rocking out the entire time and, for the first couple years after he was born, Imaginarium was what got him to go to sleep. Also took my wife to Sonata Arctica but junior never cared for Kenny. LOL! As an aside, not sure if you will see this, but Andra Ariadna, a soprano from Poland did a cover of this same song. As much as I LOVE Floor, Andra's cover hits me harder. You can find her here on TH-cam. Not asking for a reaction, but, requesting you give her a chance. Not her boyfriend here, I know how it could come across as such.

Alpenglow was my first Nightwish track and it will always have a special place in my heart. A well known streaming service suggested I might like it, and boy were they right!!! That was March 2020. So true about the lyrics. I think schools could use a lot of rock music lyrics in class. I have seen comments from people whose teachers played Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Iron Maiden in literature class. Sabaton have endless songs about historical battles (another band you should give a listen to, very accessible and melodic metal with great choruses usually as well) I love Troy in this video, I'm just playing rhythm guitar but I'll just stop for a moment and do a flute solo... lol He plays just about everything!

Alpenglow is the literal translation of the German Alpenglühen. When the sun goes down, the valleys are dark. But the red light of the sun is cast from the mountain peaks into the valleys. Instead of the red sun, you see glowing mountains.

Nightwish has always kicked ass but the quintessential lineup contained Queen Tarja (Turunen), back in the day. When American Metal was in the dumps, bands like Nightwish came in to save the day🤘.

There's no end to the feel good songs of Nightwish. I have no idea how or where Tuomas comes up with these songs. He can make ya want to jump around and dance one minute then introduce you to the formation of the universe the next - who does that? It is possible to see Alpenglow in mountain ranges throughout the world. Once seen - never forgotten. Wonderful performance from 2015.
