  • My first try with Superwrap sprayable vinyl wrap did not work out too well. Was it a user error, wheels or the product?! Im not sure what happened, let me know your experience with this product because i have heard great things about this product and have seen people get great results! I will be giving it another try soon.

    That’s a bummer brother! I did Superwrap on my calipers and it worked great. I was careful to use their prep spray, multiple layers of their primer, and then multiple coats of their color and it looks fire! Great Canadian company so hopefully the next go round will be better 😊🤘

    Maybe you should have tried some rim care & you should also invest in the trigger attachment.

    i did my wheels with superwrap and it worked out great. with the glossy black you do not need
    a primer. just the can of glossy black. i did my motorcycle parts to(many) and it look great to and that was on plastic parts. the Superwrap is by far the best product there is when it comes to smooth glossy parts, with other colours like red or yellow you need a basecoat, but not with glossy black.

    I’ve been using superwrap for a few years it hands down has the best gloss far better than hyperdip. Durability is the products issue even when I go beyond 10 coats and use clear wrap coats over it still can’t resist rock chips. The product looks great but it’s simply doesn’t hold up. I went to the site today and saw everything is sold out. I think the company is throwing in the towel as I can’t even purchase their products on Amazon. I guess I’m stuck with hyperdip or I learn to lay vinyl wrap down better. Learning to vinyl wrap seems to be the best choice in terms of gloss and durability. Plasti dip or hyper dip is the easiest to apply if u don’t mind it not being perfectly glossy

    Hi Ehab,
    We’re sorry that you are having issues with your application.
    Our customer satisfaction and experience with our product is very important to us and we stand behind our product and want to find a solution to your problem.
    Superwrap is a self-leveling product that will not fill in imperfections such as curbed rash, scratches and dents so it may still be visible. Applying on curb rash can compromise the finish, durability and peelability. You can still apply it on the curbed areas, but, keep in mind that it may be harder to peel off on these spots.
    In your video, you mentioned that the product isn't laying properly mostly in the scuff and damaged parts of your wheels, which most likely indicate that there's some type of residue still left in these parts. Per our instructions, we recommend washing the wheels with a non-acidic soap, the use our Prep Spray and then apply Superwrap. When you notice fisheyes, we highly recommend stoping your application and waiting for the coat to dry. Once dry, wipe it down and redo your preparation. It's also recommended to lay the wheels flat so that the product lay properly.
    Please contact our Support team when experiencing issues with our product, they are always willing to help. They can also help you out find out what was the exact issue for this application so that it doesn't happen once you do your other set of wheels.
    We look forward to hearing from you and seeing your next video!
    The Superwrap team

      These wheels were properly cleaned with 99% rubbing alcohol (3 times) even after i got the fish eyes i cleaned the wheels again, twice. Its unfortunate you cant apply it to wheels with abit of curb damage. These wheels were clean and bone dry. When i sprayed the plasti dip i had no reactions at all and all the imperfections/fish eyes disappeared.

      @@EhabHalat You can apply it on curbed wheels, but we recommend sanding down the damaged parts. It is important to use our Prep Spray or wipes in order to get rid of all contaminants as well. But again, bein a DIY products there can be many factors that affect the finish. We always suggest contacting our support team when you are experiencing issues. For instance, our team member, Cam, applied it on her 2015 damaged wheels and had no issues: th-cam.com/video/y6E6OhyKPQE/w-d-xo.html. No need for the wheels to be brand new.

    yea that's NOT how you spray. Where are the primer coats? They literally give you a wheel kit that has all the correct paint.

    • @EhabHalat
      @EhabHalat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wheel kits on superwrap come with prep spray, superwrap aerosols, microfibre cloth, trigger grip and tape and drape. The one thing i didnt use was the prep spray but theres nothing about primer coats? I think what caused this is the cold temperature in my shop, im in canada and it gets cold at times.

    • @EhabHalat
      @EhabHalat  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do the same prep as i would with plasti dip and i have sprayed worse wheels with no issues but with superwrap u have to have next to mint condition wheels. 99% rubbing alocohol kills everything on the surface so the prep shouldnt be a issue. Ive watched lots of superwrap videos but i think the main issue was the cold weather causing this. I live in Canada and at the time i sprayed these wheels, it was cold
