    How well does this product hold up in the winter? Do I need to redo the application? How long is the product rated to stay in the wheel?

    • @SuperwrapOfficial
      @SuperwrapOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      All applications have been tested in our harsh winter conditions (-40F) and also in exotic temperatures.
      The Superwrap DIY aerosol was developed to last up to 2 years and has shown great protection characteristics against road debris, rocks, salt, chemicals and UV exposure. We developed our high performance Top Coat Series (High Gloss Clear and Frozen Matte) to increase UV, chemical and scratch resistance. Durability will vary depending on your application and usage. Extreme conditions such as off-roading, harsh winters, competitive use may diminish durability. Always keep in mind Superwrap was formulated as a temporary color change solution - not a replacement for traditional paint.
      If you're planning on using it during winter, we would highly recommend getting more aerosols to build up the thickness and spray at least 12+ wet coats.

    Can I use heat gun to hasten drying?

    • @SuperwrapOfficial
      @SuperwrapOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      Yes, it’s possible to use a heat gun on Superwrap. You will need to wait for the product to cure (air dry) for at least 30 minutes before using a heat gun or lamp. Do not use too much heat and do not use it too close to the surface.
      Hope this helps,

    Could I use super wrap if I one of my wheels has curb rash?

    • @SuperwrapOfficial
      @SuperwrapOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Carlos,
      Superwrap is a self-leveling product that will not fill in imperfections such as curbed rash, scratches and dents so it may still be visible. Applying on curb rash can compromise the finish, durability and peelability. You can still apply it on the curbed areas, but, keep in mind that it may be harder to peel off on these spots.
      If you wish to fix the curbed areas, we would recommend using a coarse grit, and work you way up to 1500 grit. At 1500 grit, you may begin to slightly blend area with the rest of the wheel and continue up to 2K in order to get as smooth of a finish as possible.
      Hope this helps,
      The Superwrap Team

      Superwrap DIY aerosol formula is designed specifically for the automotive industry and is tested on clear coated surfaces used by OEM car manufacturers including clear coated body panels, alloy wheels, chromed plastics, clear coated carbon fibre and metal surfaces. Do not apply Superwrap on non-clear coated surfaces such as vinyl wraps, stickers, rubber, rough plastics, and plastic or laminated centercaps. Our DIY aerosols are formulated to be applied on wheels, bicycle frames, motorcycle parts (gas tank, fairings and fenders) and accessories (trims, grills, emblems, mirrors, calipers).

    what happen if i don't use a white base ... im using red monza

    • @SuperwrapOfficial
      @SuperwrapOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Monza red requires a Space Grey base, not a White Base. Most of our colors require a base coat, and the base coat will depend on the color you are spraying. All our kits have the base coats needed for your project.
      We make specific base coat recommendations per color and finishes as to make your experience of spraying Superwrap DIY aerosols easier, and for the colors to match what we show you. Our base coats are also required for proper removability specifically on Metallic or Liquid Metallic Series. Even if your surface is already black, grey or white, you'll need the Base Coats first.

    Is autodip now superwrap?

    • @SuperwrapOfficial
      @SuperwrapOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. We used to be called Autodip. We changed our name in 2018 to better reflect what we do and what we stand for; sprayable vinyl wrap.
      The entire DIY Aerosol Series was re-engineered. We have improved the chemical formulation of our DIY sprayable vinyl to improve the product adherence and increase the resistance to surface contaminants. Our improved nozzle design and spraying pressure makes for easier application. To top it off, we’ve completely redesigned our aerosol with matching color caps to better represent our colors and finishes.

    Same thing as plasti dip

    • @SuperwrapOfficial
      @SuperwrapOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Although we share some characteristics with other peelable products, we are quite different. Plastidip is a rubber based product while Superwrap is a vinyl based product. Being vinyl based enables us to offer paint-like, high gloss, smooth finishes straight out of the can and gun. Superwrap uses premium Automotive pigments and is also a self-levelling product with high UV and chemical resistance.
      Rubber based companies can’t achieve a single step high gloss finish out of a can the way ours does.
