When i looked this up on amazon i read that they supply enough to cover the face of the rim only, not the drums/inside. You'd have to buy more to properly cover the rim entirely. Looks much better than plasti-dip though.
The problem waiting overnight is when you start again you must start with a light tack coat again and work your way back up to wet coats . I’ve had the same issue with VHT paint wrinkling up like that after recoat time frame. I would def recommend using VHT epoxy paint on wheels from now on though second best look to powder coating and much much more durable than dip or wrap
I have 305/45/22 with my rt rims and I find the stance better than original sticks out a bit more and tires look more squared since they're wider than the 285s the offset difference from my stock 20 inch sport 5 stars are off by 1 mm I'm assuming you had 285s on your yours

what possessed you to screw up beautiful chrome wheels,im concerned really...you could have got chrome cleaner an polished them,an woulda been beautiful, man are you sure your not a 22 year old gangsta dude livin in the hood....in the 60,s an 70,s yes we did paint our cheap size 14 an 15 size wheels glossy smooth black,but it all was different they werent wide or very big an we were poor,an we would clean rust an junk off them,im near 66 an that was then, but man..im bumfuzzled as to what you did to beautiful chrome wheels..i wouldnt do my r/t wheels this way for 500 bucks each, there beautiful factory dakota r/t chrome..shouldnt you also borrowed a trailer once or twice ,an made sure all this truck,the r/t is gonna handle all the extra power, or like got some wide mickey thomsons soft compound, narrow it up,an tub it maybe..i seen them this way,an to me it looks cool..but man..im sorry for what you done with those wheels,id strip that shit off,an polish the chrome like it was,but im an old guy,an i allways ran weld,an centerlines,an we sprayed an cleaned them,an they turned out beautiful......maybe you never heard of them....
My 20s on my 2017 are a matte black from the factory and I was going to have them powdered coated gloss but this will definitely save me a ton of money super cool idea and thanks. Will definitely wait only 15 minutes in between coats thank for the heads up..👍👍

i wanted to go with a copper color on mine with the truck being true blue, but i no longer own it. i had a stroke a surgeon said i could never go back to construction work, which i have been doing since 1978. it was paid off but hospital and doctor bills along with meds i am buying were eating up savings fast it was a 2013 Expresss with 20 inch rims and the 5.7 hemi but i made sure that i used z Max micro lubricant to protect cam and lifters and i sold it with 84k miles on it and carmax gave me 17,8k for it, dealer in town was only going to give 15k. i had plastic dipped my rims before in black.
You know what the problem with painting wheels like this is? It takes almost as much time as a proper paint job, it's not permanent, and the next time the wheels need balanced the "paint" will be ruined

Question, was those chrome wheels are the ones are cover wheel ones or no, cause i have one and they are chrome covers and thinking of painting them black too. Deciding if i should take the covers out and paint or paint it with the chrome covers on.

Epoxy is nice and hardens up well, I’ve used appliance epoxy from Lowe’s on some old motorcycle tanks with good success. Had a Nice gloss finish.

A wheel shop damaged those wheels a week after I did that and I don’t have those wheels anymore 🤦♂️

Its been a year, how has the spray held up? Is it durable?
Aircraft paint stripper in a can at any car parts store will take any paint off wheels and not hurt chrome. Done it 20 30 times.

There are lots of negative reviews mentioning clear coat damage, peeling after a few weeks/months, and other less serious issues. Be careful.

I super wrapped my wife’s Kia wheels and you don’t even need to cover the tire with anything, once it’s dry it peels right off the tire
