I don't think it is the size of the collection that matters, but how the collection holds meaning for you. I know that I personally own some series that I don't particularly like that much, but I think that with a smaller collection. A lot of what you own hopefully has more meaning to you and your tastes. Honestly no not really. One of the bookshelves is in worse shape because it used to belong to my sister. She would put hardcover novels on it and that caused the shelves to bend a lot. The shelf that I’ve owned for a few years now doesn’t have any noticeable bending because I only put manga on it. Which is generally a lot lighter than hardcover novels.
My shelves aren’t ikea Billy’s. They’re from a different furniture store. Although, I would recommend the ikea bookshelves for anyone looking for one that’s good for manga.

How long have you been collecting for?
I've been collecting for about 6 years on and off. I got most of my manga when I was first starting out and last year though. I kinda fell off from the hobby during the years in-between, but the passion for it got reignited last year.

Yeah I think more people know about the anime, but that didn't really do the manga justice. It doesn't help that its slowly going out of print as well. At least its on the shonen jump. Hopefully more people will read it there.

What didn’t you like about monster
It just felt like the pacing was really slow at certain points imo and that really killed the enjoyment of it for me. It just seemed like I was trying to force myself to power through and finish it, but I just wasn't able to get the same enjoyment from it that others do.
Most people that read or watch it will probably like it, but it just wasn't for me.
