I love frontsides, but I don't like it when if I have to step off the board backwards. I can barely walk backwards and trying to move fast is really painful on my knee, and that was before the latest sprain. I'll work my way up slowly on the frontsides and hopefully keep it fairly safe. You are 100% right, slow and steady keeps you in the game, and that's the key to progress.
I'm working on that. I just hate having to step off the board backwards on a botched frontside. I was watching a skateparklesson video and he was showing how to step off around the front of the board and go to a kneeslide, but I haven't gotten that one down yet. I'm stuck in tropical storm Debbie right now and it seems like its never gonna stop raining.
looking smooth on the board!! some people really underestimate how scary kick turns on transition can be lol
Thanks. The scary part for me is if I have to step off the board backwards, I have a hard time even walking backwards, much less trying to run!
You are an inspiration my guy! Hope you feel better soon! Keep on shredding!!!!
Thank you!
seeing my local park in a video is reviving
I'm finally back at Lexington now, been gone for over 3 weeks. Is nice to come back to my local park!
Injuries are the worst and the desire to skate always wins! 😂
That desire sometimes costs you, but I think I'm getting better despite coming back a bit early.
When did you learn to drop in?
I skated in my 50's and did it then, but then stopped skating for about 10 years and just picked them back up again this summer.
take it slow so no reinjury . front sides do not feel natural to me. You seem to have it down. slow and steady always wins

I love your front sides. Really smooth and clean. Work your way up to a grind for me, okay? 👊😀
