- Seth and I made a short trip to Statesville NC to skate the Skatesville DIY park. We had an awesome day on the features and enjoyed the park tremendously. So much to skate and so little time, but we tried just about everything there and skated for almost 3 hours. My knee no longer likes me.
💪
This park looks like so much fun, can't wait to get up there.
It was so much fun and well worth a visit! Make sure to go on a cooler day though, it was really hot inside the building the day we went, it was in the mid 90's outside then. I'll bet it can probably get pretty crowded as well, we went on a Saturday pretty early and it wasn't too bad, but it started getting a bit more crowded before we left and you are pretty constrained as far as your lines are concerned. There were arrows painted on the floor to suggest flow I think, but it looked like everyone (us included) pretty much ignored them.
I skate at this park. The metal ramps are from the old Mooresville skatepark. I'm so thankful for all the volunteers and people who donated money to make this park a reality.
The ramps were great even though they look like they have seen better days. We really enjoyed the park a lot and a guy with Live To Skate came by and talked to everyone and handed out stickers. They have done a great job there and it was so much fun to skate we can't wait to go back!
Seem from a Tony Hawk's video-game scenarios
Yeah, it did seem like skating in a video game. It was so cool to skate in all that old industrial space we really had a blast.
Wow, this place is rusty and grunge, but looks so cool, like a cool scene from an American movie or a music video 😁
It was so cool! I love old industrial buildings and stuff, and it was just awesome to skate there. It was VERY hot inside the structures though, it just concentrated the heat and it was in the mid 90's that day outside the building. That half pipe was hot too if you fell on it!
Sick grinding man! I couldn't even stand on a ledge with my skates. Need to practice a LOT more.
