Saying someone isn’t a car guy for the way the mod their car? There’s totally some validity in callling out the uselessness of slammed cars, or pops and bangs, or big ol trucks, but then what are you going for? A vehicle that looks good? A fast car? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and while I think we can agree that slammed cars are a complete waste it’s what they want to do, and I think a similar argument could be made about how your faster car is dangerous and unsafe. I think you are far too judgemental over people’s personal preferences. Being a car guy isn’t making a race car, it’s wrenching for hours, hearing that brand new idle, or maybe just fixing up your dad’s car with him. It’s not a badge of honor to be a car guy, it’s a shared interest. I guarantee that if you got into conversation with these so called imposter car guys you would find they aren’t so different. It’s not a perfect community but that doesn’t mean it should be unaccepting.
This is just a bit of fun, nothing too serious is meant by it. In the video, I do say I respect things like slammed or lifted trucks. It's not total hate, just having a laugh. But fake badges does need to be called out.
