I’m looking to buy a van and convert it to a moto camper, for travel, adventure and motorcycle transportation. Help me choose the right van. Any ideas and tips would be appreciated.

@@taffy2wheels577 thanks Taffy. It’s going to be an exciting journey. And room for a couple of mates going to the trails. 👍

Hey mate, looking at doing a similar thing myself. Likely will use a trailer as makes the internal conversion a bit simpler with a fixed bed and will use the van for work. I’m looking either a transit L2H3 or L3H3. only thing to watch out for with them is wet belt system. But I guess any van would work, mwb crafter, relay etc. just depends on if it’s your only vehicle and parking in your area etc. good luck with the build. Sorry to bring bad news but from what I’ve seen you’ll have a hard time finding a euro 6 van that’s done 120k or less for £5/6k, vans have gone up a lot in value it seems and if you want something that’s not knocked about you might have to add a few quid. I’ve been looking for something around 70k miles or so and euro 6 (live next to CAZ zone) and it’s looking more like £11-15k 😢😅

Hi mate. Thanks for your comments and advice. Yes your absolutely right about the budget, that's needs to be increased to around £7/8k if I'm going to find a decant van. Think I may of found a late 67 plate ford custom L2 H1 with 101k on the clock Ford replaced the engine at 85k under warranty due to the wet belt failure. Watch this space. Cheers Mick
