You have mentioned in your reviews about how many models (length and line weight) are available in the Greys lineup, but there is one important one missing, and that’s the 8 1/2’ 4 weight. Last one of those I know about, was the Greys X-Flight, I do not see it in any of these new rods. That’s a standard dry fly size for many folks, kind of surprising, but it’s nice to see they do have a 9 ft. 3 weight, one that some of the big rod companies no longer make.
I have the 4 weight Gr80..I think it is a great 4 weight, especially at its current price. My favorite of the line up and I own the 5 weight and have casted the 6 weight.
Thanks Ben, I recently broke my XF2 10’ 4wt and will be looking forward to the new Wing Streamflex model GROWIN104 (10’ 4 wt.) that will be replacing it. Any thoughts?
Your honesty about these other rods compared to the Lance is really cool. Thanks for all this awesome info.
Thanks for watching, Matt
Thanks for an honest review of the new trio of rods from greys, I know exactly what rod I’m going for 😉👍
Let us know what you think after you have a chance to cast it
@@Tridentflyfishing as soon as I get a chance to wet a line with it I’ll be glad to share my thoughts 👍

Hi Barry, I'm not sure why Greys opted not to build an 8 1/2 4wt, but they make an 8' 4wt which is nice for dry flies on smaller water.
Sounds like a good comparison would be the GR80 vs Lance. Really appreciate
all the reviews you do. Time for me to get off the fence and pick a 4wt.
The Lance has more in common with the GR60 regarding taper, performance, and price.

Thank you Ben , definitely interesting rod.....
It's interesting, for sure
Thanks, Ben! Difference and similarities to the GR80?
Love to see a snowbee rod review there prestige range
looks nice!
Hi Ben,
Will the new Greys line of rods include travel sizes? 6 piece for example.
The Wings comes in a 6-piece travel option
"nobody bought it" " i hope this does as well" lol

Should be a fine replacement
