Klark Teknik/Midas purchased Sony Oxford somewhere in 2005 (? maybe a bit later (the deal was finalized in 2007). They got hold of AES50 and AES60. This makes this console pretty rocksolid and future proof. this little console is great for small gigs and home mixage. But it is a beast in a small package. And the 96khz/24bit means it does 48khz audio wich is more or less about the transient response a Studer 2 inch 24 track analog recorder once was capable off. AES60 allso is capable of DSD so this is a great technology. Behringer bought Klark Teknik/Midas two/three years back. But kept them as they are... Wich is great. Who-ever decides to buy this Pro1.... You are buying a great system....
So 40 channels is the max? I heard that, like the M32, you could convert the aux channels into mixable channels (DL251)? With the X32, I can mix up to 38 channels (with DL251) and still have a stereo bumper feed for music. Granted, that's at 48K instead of 96, but still, I figured you could do the same thing with the auxiliaries.
