    What I love as a spurs is that . They shop around outside the league , or from college instead of going for all stars they go for vets . They go for freshness in the draft . Stephon castle was like trading for another vet . Because that’s what he plays like , like he’s been in the league for long term already

    I just think what the spurs did is really smart trading dillingham for picks and saving alot of money. If they can sign some players who wanted to play for Wemby that is an amazing plan by the spurs in fact they are doing the same thing what OKC did. If they can just only improve their 3pt shooting and defense they are gonna be really great contenders for playoffs for years to come.

    What the Spurs are doing is actually genius. With Atlanta’s picks and now the t wolves picks, they have two first rounders for the next 8 years, and the likelihood of those other teams picks being lottery bound is high. You can get top tier talent to replace guys that are getting too expensive in their contract years, while flipping the expensive players for more picks. If they do this process right, they’ll be unstoppable.

    • @JoeArce
      @JoeArce 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@noahjames1985 True. Another reason I said Giannis is because if Dame doesn't work out on the Bucks and they miss their window to get to the finals, Giannis might want out, especially with the other old players on the team. As for Ant, yes in the video he talks about a scenario where later in the future the Spurs could trade for Edwards and it is possible. Minnesota is going to do everything in their power to make sure he stays and I personally believe he wouldn't want to come to San Antonio if he requests a trade and he could easily choose where he'd want to go. Once the Bucks realize that their time is up and Giannis wants to leave, they're gonna have to trade him to start their rebuild. This might sound dumb so just hear me out, I say the Bucks have another year or two (three at the most) to try and win a championship with Dame and Giannis, while the Spurs will already probably be making the play in and maybe the playoffs. Within those 2 to 3 years if the Bucks don't win a title or even make the finals, I think that's a wrap. Here's an example I think makes sense, it's just flipped, in 1999 the Spurs won their first championship with a super young Tim Duncan and an aging David Robinson and won again in 2003. Despite Robinson being old he still contributed to those two titles. Maybe Giannis could do that with Victor

    • @JoeArce
      @JoeArce 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@noahjames1985 I do believe the Spurs will reach a point where the decide to make some big moves once they start making the playoffs. Having a lot of draft picks will definitely make that happen. However, I don't think they should go too far with it. For example, obviously if you wanna trade for Giannis or Ant you are giving up a lot, but I feel like trading for Giannis won't be as much compared to trading for Ant. With Giannis on the older side and having injury history. Basically I think the Spurs should only trade for certain star players and I think most of them would be around 27 to 29 or 30 years old, like Giannis. And as much as I love the Spurs building through the draft, once they start making the playoffs they can't keep drafting players because you can only have so many players on a team, OKC has that issue right now. Last thing I'll say, I think the Spurs will trade for either one or two star players to pair with Victor. Maybe make some other moves to have great bench depth. Will keep drafting till they start winning which is when they will start trading those picks

    This video truly does not make any sense. Victor Wembanyama and Anthony Edwards would have chemistry issues similar to Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant. The allure of pairing them is ultimately not worth it as I would rather the Spurs pair Victor Wembanyama with a different star and the potential for cohesion issues and who would get more touches between Victor Wembanyama and Anthony Edwards would constantly arise if the Spurs traded for Anthony Edwards. Although he is immensely talented, I do not see Anthony Edwards as the correct star to pair with Victor Wembanyama due to his key reason.
    Lastly, I also do not see the Timberwolves trading Anthony Edwards. The Spurs also, again, should look elsewhere in terms of pairing Victor Wembanyama with a star if they decide to go with that approach.

One of the first things out of KG's mouth after giving Boston another championship had to do with Minnesota. Second, remember a certain NBA player saying "New York and LA are nice, but they aren't better than Minnesota"? Third, what makes you think even if the Wolves were STUPID enough to let another franchise player go, that they would give him to another Western Conference team? Anthony is from Georgia, and he's a loyal guy; he'd want to go to the Hawks...an Eastern Conference team. And yes, Minnesota is considered a small market, but guess what...so is San Antonio. So what's going to stop Wemby from losing his patience and wanting out of SA?? You can't have Anthony. He's OURS.

    So why in the world would the Wolves let Ant leave. People need to stop withthe Ant is leaving MN. He loves it here and there is no reason to believe they will let Ant walk. Also even if that is a remote chance of Ant wanting to leave. They will trade Ant and not let him walk for nothing. So this is a major nothing burger and also gives no realistic reason for Ant leaving MN. But since you said it, it must be true lol.....

    im a die hard spurs fan since 04 but this is too much sniffing of hopium. brian wright is not that smart; this isnt rc buford making moves. brian wright, the failed assistant gm of the pistons, and you think he has the brains to make these moves? lol

    A better idea is just give those picks back to the wolves in exchange for Naz Reid who resigns a 4 year team friendly deal and becomes the backup we need for Wemby off the bench

    More likely Wemby goes to LA. He will be a free agent after 29-30 although he could demand a trade before then.
    Nobody wants to play in some cowtown with a senile old coach.
