Before Hog there were 2 EOG used in train, after Hog introduced it is connected through wire to provide electricity to the coaches, but it can fault sometimes, so there is 1 generator car for backup plus there is not proper ports to directly connect through hog to coaches without the generator car.

Strongly disagree!! Now almost every WAP loco is HOG enabled!! You need to watch more closely!! @@user-bd4ep6ib6t
