  • So I made a quick tutorial how to change simple 2d images, to SVG files, and then how to extrude them.
    I also show how to color them utilizing the Bambu AMS.

    Thanks for the video on explaining on how to this with fusion. One of the easiest to follow explanations on using fusion.

      You're welcome! I noticed other videos were kind of confusing so I wanted to just put the info down and maybe help some people out

      @@DarkSideDesigns Took me a few attempts on fusion to quit hitting eneter, but got and looks good in the slicer. Will you be doing how to make a extruded box for light?

    The first 4 minutes of this video were like gold for me. THANK YOU SO MUCH! It's exactly what I needed to be able to create a file that is importable into tinkercad for manipulating, and then into bambulab for printing and color adjustment.

    Amazing tutorial, thanks so much! I hope you make more - you are most excellent! I added a little negative extrusion hole in the bow to make a keychain for my daughters :)

    Fusion 360 seams so confusing to me normally. However this was very easy to understand thank you!!

      Thank you! I think a big issues with most tutorials out there is they move too fast and don't allow the viewers time to follow along or explain the reason why a tool is used

    Great video! I’ve been looking for a simple explanation on using fusion to create these. One suggestion I do have would be to name your components the colors this way once you go to bamboo or orca, you can easily differentiate. What object is, what color

    • @DarkSideDesigns

      Definitely would make it easier to identify what's what!

    Was able to make some prints from your instructions came out nice. But I am having a issue where I can see the outlines on the back. I am trying to make the back a solid color black and the details inside different colors. How do I make the back a solid color without have the outlines of everything showing on the back?

    • @DarkSideDesigns

      So what you can do is go back into Fusion 360, and extrude the whole sketch as thick as you want the backing to be. I'd say 1mm would be plenty. Make sure to extrude it a negative number so it builds away from your model. Then in bambu slicer, just chose that component and select black. Let me know if that makes any sense, if not I'll try and make a short video showing what I mean.

    How do you make different layer of image? Bc the image you make is the same layer height but what if I want different layer height so I can swap filament witout the ams?

    • @DarkSideDesigns

      When you extrude, you can raise certain areas higher up, then in bambu studio, you can set it to stop at a specific layer to swap filaments

    i followed your steps but when i look at the part in 360 all my lines are jagged edges when they should be smooth... Is there a way to smooth out all the lines?

    Is any simple method to print only top and bottom layers with colors, all other print black in your sample (to minimize filament switch)?

    • @DarkSideDesigns

      You can! If you utilize the paint feature in bambu studio. You can just paint the top faces not the whole part

    fusion 360 gives me the error:
    Error: The selected SVG file contains no or unsupported information. Unsupported geometry does not appear in the Fusion sketch.
    Whats wrong?

    • @DarkSideDesigns

      Hmm I'd try remaking the svg and see if it works. Or try another image. It may be something in the actual file or process of saving it thats stopping it from working

    How can i make a design into a Keychain style?

    • @DarkSideDesigns

      If at the sketch phase you make a circle where youd like a keychain hole. Extrude the other parts first, the extrude the circle separate. Make sure instead of creating a new body or component, click cut. Make sure to extrude the cut all the way though the model and hit enter
