I'm always amazed at these types of stories, wherein one partner murders the other in order to avoid (in part) shared custody. Now you get NO custody, and your poor children have one parent in prison and the other in the grave. I cannot wrap my head around that kind of shortsighted selfishness.
Great analysis as always, Dr. G!

There's a psychological/economical experiment called the ultimatum game. It goes like this: two parties interact anonymously and only once, so reciprocation is not an issue. The first player proposes how to divide a sum of money with the second party. If the second player rejects this division, neither gets anything. If the second accepts, the first gets her demand and the second gets the rest. Usually when people are offered less than 20% of the sum, they reject the offer and nobody gets anything - even though they would get free money anyway, they would rather the other party get nothing. People aren't always concerned with what they gain. They're concerned with what's "fair".

Selfish arrogant and utterly blinkered infatuation! She sounds like a woman that has got all she wanted on her terms and a husband that pampered her but it was not enough and she then crossed over into thinking she could do anything!
      A dangerous mix indeed.

    • @Somegirl811

Right, if you love your children, you don't kill the only other person they love and loves them unconditionally. I don't even badmouth my ex husband around my son, even though it is tempting sometimes. But what does she know about love, anyway? Remember she actually destroyed two families.

I'm from NJ and it was great. Four seasons and great Diners and restaurants. Lakes, forests and nature. After 4 years in Syracuse New York for work, I ended up in the Los Angeles area of CA. So, of course I miss New Jersey and White Castle hamburgers, etc. But having gotten older I understand the benefit of not having winters and how that is being being able to do more outdoors.

I seriously can’t comprehend that even if someone were to commit “the perfect murder,” they then expect to just enter into a blissful state of unending happiness with their new partner, never to suffer from unspeakable nightmares or unwanted horrific images at any point thereafter. “Oh, that dismemberment? I prefer not to dwell on the past. Pass me that butcher knife, would you, sweetie?”😳

There appears to be a pattern where an affair begins, one person in the affair, rather than just get divorced, decides instead to murder their legal spouse to "be with" their new lover. Do you have any insights into the psychological mechanism behind this choice type? The choice for the individual's long-term well being would be to leave the relationship. Why is it that some people make the much more detrimental choices, even going so far as to transport and desecrate human corpses?

So, if was abusive towards her physically if not verbally/mentally. In her mind she would probably see her murdering her husband as an act of self defense and may have worried for her's and their childrens' lives.
However, with all of the evidence provided, there is no doubt that she murdered him and did so to get him out of the picture so she could go on with her life and continue her affair/relationship with Bradley Miller.

Also I think from a British perspective "Jimmy Saville" he allegedly hoodwinked a Nation, he wasn't just a sex predator, he had (& I'm not diagnosing him) Psychopathic traits going on all over the place, attacking even disabled orphan's in state care & openly admit it in a sort of (did/didn't he just say/mean that) confession, twisted guy clearly, everyone loved him even HMQ Elizabeth II & PM Thatcher, this story could actually provide Dr Grande with material for a mini series or an extended episode, as it spanned over half a century & so many influential folk's were all took in.

Thank you for posting this Doctor. I find it amazing how people can do the most heinous things, but still not take it a step further, and own up to their evil act. Who are they kidding? Who else would've done it? She's a very scary monster. No matter what one had done to their partner in life, no one deserves their life snuffed out without repercussions.
I'm sad for Bill's parents and family. I had to edit this and add that Bill & M. had children. I forgot or didn't know about that from the news programs. They will suffer the most from their Mother's cold, thoughtless murder. Killing is bad enough, but they will deal with media scrutiny and nightmares from knowing their Father was mutilated and thrown away in the Atlantic. No words.
Also, I notice you give your "stamp"of approval with your thumbnail photo mostly when you are complimented 🤔. Why do doctors lose their humility?

This was my reply: I get very upset when one of the two cheaters in an affair gets away with no consequence of cheating hiding lying and participates in breaking up a family. The punishment may not be severe, but there should be a consequence for their action.

*_ignominious treachery of infidelity_* Ignominious is on my *favorite* words list. I love it used here...like this. Words and phrasing is literally awesome to me and this is a great one! Anyway, incredible story; I hadn't heard of this one. With all that rage, perhaps there wasn't an accomplice but I feel there likely was. I am sure they looked long and hard at the doctor she was having an affair with.

(Hiya pal, I'm back) it's his Zodiac Killer vid at 6:36 and goes like, "here we see our 1st look at the ZKs ability to murder grammar & he didn't have any respect for the rules of grammar" Probably doesn't sound as good, because it's not first hand🙂
