4. Stop breath while auscultation.

6. Percussion of upper chest for rest rotrosternal goiter.

inspection of neck for goiter.. ask about name for voice..slow and slurred in hypothy..hands for fine tremers and sweating, and acropathy..carpel tunnel syndrome can complicate myxedema...access pulse rate rhythm for thyrotoxicosis, tachycardia and atrial fibrillation..check for proximal myopathy by raising the arms...check for lid lag and look for proptosis from back and above.. give water to swallow to see thyroid moving.. check for Pomberton sign by asking to raise hands above the neck.. Check for thyroid bruit and Reflex and also percussion over the sternum and then from back examine the regions of thyroid gland

You have to ask the patient to stop breathing while auscultating, else you'll mix up thyroid bruit and breathing sounds.

H test for eye movement you could find restrictions of eyes movement or diplopia
