I was an MP and a cop and it always baffled me why MPs are treated like children. Never ever as a cop did the sergeant or watch commander check to make sure we had a note book, cuff keys etc. And why carry a gun that isn't ready to fire. Both my primary and backup gun always had a round chambered and the mag top off. Its immensely dangerous not to have it in a state where you cant fire it without having to chamber a round

You can SMD. I know people that have got into heavy drinking and smoking and some who have completely changed personalities not for the better because they have not gotten the promotions they deserve cause of favoritism, not gotten the respect they deserve because of one mishap, not gotten the recognition even though they contributed the most. The military is a game of chance, ass kissing and being a PT stud. I like the fact you get physically fit overall than what you once were but the mental degradation being in does not make most for the better. Many are also wasting hours of time and not learning valuable skills for the work force.

Most PL I have served under have been great and an example for fellow soldiers. I only had one LT cause himself to get kicked out of our unit. One time we went to the field for 30 days. At day 26. Our LT told us to pack up and he decided we were done in the field. As the last pallet is almost on the trailer. Our battalion commander shows up. “ What the fuck is going on?” The LT and the LTC argues for 10 mins. The LTC leaves and yells “ Stupid fuck piece of shit baby!” Lol. The LT then tells my platoon sgt. To unpack the whole site and we had to stay a few more days. At that moment I swear you could hear a pin drop. My unit circled the LT. Platoon Sgt yells “ Fuck this shit. I refuse to do it!” LT orders the platoon sgt to do it. Next thing the platoon sgt yells. “ Fuck you motherfucker! Were you in Vietnam?” We slept in shelter halves for 3 days. This was in 1993. It was my first time In the field as an E2. Lol

So, my first thought was the Medics give the LT 'knock out juice' via the IV line...LT goes nappy time...and the Soldiers enjoy a nice, calm and quiet officerless shift.
LT wakes up, Soldiers tell a groggy 31A he must've passed out, but thankfully absolutely nothing happened on patrol, the gates or at the desk. And thanks for volunteering for MED training, LT.
For The Troops; yes, MPs are often hated and garrison duty can be dangerous; be careful 31A/Bs!
Thanks for the video, LT. All kidding aside, blessings and be safe.
And maybe one just possibly overlooked a shift carrying 'hot' (no time to draw, rack and change condition in a fast, evolving, life threatening, potential use of force 'keep the peace' moment). And, a time when we actually wore nice, shiny metal PMO, Military Police, badges.
    A former MP.

Yes do perform law enforcement actions. But mainly just being a platoon leader in general you will perform more administration functions. I’m the field you will be training and focused on the field with your troops. I’ve never been to combat so I’m not sure

I'm currently in college thinking about going back into the military (Army) as an Officer through the ROTC program. I was wondering, do your Officers for MP PMO conduct patrol operations, respond to calls for service, take police reports, etc? I do understand that some officers have desk jobs in a PMO and some are Watch Commanders. The Marines had a Watch Commander and he or she would respond to calls for service with the regular road Marine MPs. As I love the law enforcement field, and I would like to continue to do that work if possible as an Officer. Thank you.
