The equipment now is professional. I served in the MPs in the 70s. We drove junk. The kids now even have Kevlar. The MP Corps have come along way in 50 years.
Believe it or not it doesnt obstruct vision at all, I was in JROTC and did "Security" for our HIgh School Football Games and it was a Decent Amount of Fun tbh but the berets were the same way for us but no vision was obstructed.
Arms room makes no difference, when was the last time a burglar alarm on post was a burglary? Answer - way less than off post which isn’t super common. A domestic is not an alarm. Ive been both military and civilian police. Outside of some top secret facility protocol, it’s unnecessary
@@KCS704 it’s very necessary, last night some idiot blue suitor dropped the arms room key at some random location,if some soldier really hated the world they could’ve used the key and loaded up some m4 mags and go to town
I will clarify- if the alarm is a panic or hold up alarm, that would necessitate lights and sirens- even then, it being a real incident is super rare, but that is the only time lights a sirens for an alarm - outside a classified facility would be warranted
I fell asleep just waiting for them to go in-service. Obviously not real cops, having to check out gear every single day. Guess nothing happens off-duty 🤷♂️
Mmm, these present day ‘state side’ MPs have better all-around equipment, than we 95B’s had in Vietnam.
Man. Even the training is way better than ours. I’m a Cold War 95B.

@@kevinray5636 I just hope they appreciate the upgrades!
In Viet Nam, I was a Sentry Dog Handler. Stateside, regular MP--I drove a Jeep!

MPs, the most hated mos in the military
I think it's safe to say the mps don't care if they are hated
I was a MP in 1972 and the most hated person was a black MP
@@dianastewart2850 Seesh! Not doubting you. Still shocks me.
They work 12 hour shifts and 6 days a week they hate their jobs
@@dianastewart2850that’s makes me wanna do it even more 😂
Did AirAssault with some MPs..had a wild bunch of Grunts..in my unit..MPs..saved a few..
How does a "gay" beret pulled down over your right eye help with peripheral vision?

No reason for lights and siren on an alarm call.
Plenty reasons to run code 3,the alarm could be for an arms room,a domestic in progress,or a top secret building

Lol. Cant live without your little pew pew huh? Gotta make sure you have your equalizer right?
I think they do some good service. Can you get out there and do that?
Not real cops, you say? Sure...... Just watch your step on an army base.
@@bobanderson6656 since they’re not equipped during off-duty times, not much will happen
They're still law enforcement. They can even carry a concealed handgun nationwide off duty. Look it up.
