Tangmere has become a stalwart at Carlisle on charters by West Coast Railways - largely because its their only air-braked loco. People still tell me they haven't seen it 'in person'.
It came to Carlisle on 11th with The Dalesman, from Chester via the S&C and returning south via the West Coast Main Line.
We see it at the station, turning at London Road Junction and departing south from the station and passing Upperby.
A few of the regular freights too. We also see the weedkilling train leaving Upperby bound for the S&C.

Unless the driver requested assistance I doubt it. The rear loco usually runs without the buffers touching.
