Well done for keeping up with the wildlife Leslie
It gives me something to look at during the quiet moments.
Bom dia lelie excelente video hj 17:20
Thanks
It's nice to see steam but I also wish they would send a Black 5 out as well. What a long journey this was 17 hours for a short time in Carlisle.
The journeys are getting longer these days. One of Riley's B5s needs to be on a more permanent loan to WCR. Or one of the locos seemingly permanently down south retrieved
Hi Les, I was on the Belmond Pullman on Saturday and it was a very long day 17hrs, no time to look round Carlisle.
Its a shame really as many visitors get to the station entrance, see the Citadel and turn around. They don't realise that the Cathedral - a real gem - and Castle are not too far away.
TANGMERE's wheel slip at 8:50 was probably caused by the drenched condition of the railhead after all that steam had condensed on it. It has been a while sincce you caught a Northern service arriving into platform 2. Some weeks ago I wondered why terminating excursions used P3. I think the answer was staring me in the face. 3:40 (±) shows a whole train load of passengers on the platform. It has to be that the width of the platform is capable of accommodating them, which P1 couldn't.
Well, that was a day when the weather changed quickly. I got caught out by it as well. I had hung out the newly done laundry and went shopping. The sun was shining when I left, but not when I got back.
P3 is popular for the charters, partly because the punters can stay dry plus any other non passenger trains can run past. Arrivals on 1 or 4 seem to happen when 3 is otherwise occupied.
It poured down that evening.
More interesting Loco's at Carlisle.
It is now a mecca if you want to see live steam, the more the better.
It certainly is. What we though is West Coast to find a regular alternative to Tangmere. Things are almost back to the frequencies of 2021
@@LeslieGilpinRailways I agree, any stem loco is better than none, but Tangmere is getting all the action this year.
I would like to see a Duchess back in live steam for a change.
Loads of Freightliners lol
More Freightliner locos than is usual
@@LeslieGilpinRailways yh it is
