I love how this is a mix between totk and the links awakening. The cartoony look but the near unhindered exploration is an amazing combination. Im also glad you don't have to watch solely from the sidelines
Also feels like a nice little gift/answer to those who preferred traditional Zelda, wanted a game to play as Zelda, and those who like the modern open mechanics.

I like to think the cape she wore was the Roc's cape to enable jumping. But I think she jumped even before getting it. Kinda a missed opportunity. 🤷🏻♀️

Something cool is that when she uses her staff for echoes, she uses it with her right hand. In sword form, she uses the sword with her left, just like every other Link except in BOTW and TOTK.

It does seem like the sword form involves channeling link in a way.

First the Dark World, then the Twilight Realm, Lorule and now the Still World?! Hyrule sure feels like a safe haven for all sorts of crazy parallel universes to pop up... And that Still World REALLY feels like the Distortion World's Hylian cousin...
According to Hyrule Hystoria when the three goddesses breathed life into Hyrule their breaths spread through cracks in space and time and created an infinite amount of alternate dimensions.
I'm pretty sure Holodrum and Labrynna are part of the same world as Hyrule. Link leaves by boat at the end, he doesn't need the goddesses to warp him back to Hyrule
Do not forget Termina…
Termina is like a dream world, same as Koholint, and the Ocean King's sea. Lorule is an alternate dimension that could potentially be connected to the Twilight Realm? Maybe even to Termina. The Silent Realm is in Hyrule but it's inhabitants must be blessed by the gods to see the challenges. The Sacred Realm is the world of the goddesses and also an alternate dimension of Hyrule which became the Dark World. But, sometimes the Sacred Realm seems to also refer to the Sky as well as the Silent Realm. The Still World seems to be an empty pocket, like the backrooms, that swallows people and the world.

I like how in the first trailer they were like “and will Zelda fight with a sword? Well, she has echoes!” And in this trailer they’re like “oh hey she has a sword too”
I like that the sword form requires magic to make it a “last resort” kind of thing, so that it doesn’t take away from the Echoes.

remember during the tears of the kingdom title announcement and we weren't 100% sure if it was tears like crying or tears like ripping... well turns out the other kind of tears was still on the way
I’m convinced that this game was made from remnants of scrapped TOTK ideas.
We also had Tiers of the Kingdom with the sky islands and depths.
The depths were tears in the earth. And yes I only thought of that like the other day.

Sleeping during boss fights is the ultimate taunt command similar to spamming camera poses when fighting Lynels in TotK or BotW with no damage taken.

“Environments Vary with Each Rift” that’s so exciting. After exploring under Death Mountain in TOTK, I fully expected many different regions of the depths to change environment based on the land above. I’m glad this game is actually doing that.

Not to be confused with The Dark World/The Sacred Realm, The Silent Realm, The Depths, The World of the Ocean King, The gap between dimensions, Termina, The void of the Evil Realm, The Twilight Realm, or Lorule.
Well... I wouldn't necessarily say that the gap wouldn't be possible. I mean, it's not like we ever see much of anything in there. Maybe Link Between Worlds acted as a sort of Catalyst? Or what if it's the other way around?
Maybe it’s the dimension you cross to get to Lorule ?
The silent realm is actually the sacred realm, so...

When Zelda 2 first came out, it was supposed to be called Volvagia, either it’s prototype name or it’s official Japanese name, but America decided to rename it for pretty much no reason. Then in OOT they brought it back with its proper name and a new, more Japanese dragon styled appearance.

How to defeat Link in 3 steps:
Step 1: Create two log echoes.
Step 2: Create a Korok echo.
Step 3: While Link is distracted crucifying the Korok, create a bomb echo and throw it towards him.
That only works on Wild/Tears Link. Otherwise, we would be overwhelmed by bomb flowers and whatever else he picked up.

I think the sword form is like some sort of echo of link's abilities using the memory of the sword. I hope she gets other items that do similar things, like grant her abilities and knowledge from another person for a short period of time

This is what I was waiting for: the newer style of absolutely breaking the game as intended, while keeping the older map style. It's designed like a classic Zelda, but it's breakable on purpose like TotK.

Tears of the Kingdom was a direct sequel to a hit game using many of the same mechanics, it makes sense that an entry in the series that is moving away from that is getting more exposure

OMG, everything looks totally sweet! The Still World looks very strange, and Zelda’s swordfighter form makes her look very much like Link! I wonder who could be responsible for the rifts and why Link was corrupted! I can’t wait to find out! I can’t believe that we’ll get to play as Princess Zelda in a core Zelda game for the first time! Tri is also really cute, the Tri Rod is very pretty, all of the locations in Hyrule look amazing and the new direction of the gameplay looks very interesting! I also really love that it has the same art style as the remake of Link’s Awakening! I’m so hyped for this game! I also hope that Nintendo will make remakes of The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons (with the same art style, of course), as well as Switch ports of The Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD, remakes of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks and a Switch port of TriForce Heroes! In ALttP and ALBW, whenever you got an upgrade to the master sword, the upgrade was referred to as a "level" (ie calling it the lvl 2 master sword) so I think things will work the same way this time, with each "level" being tied to the form of the sword.
