Makes it look like an amateur was holding the camera. Its way too distracting and served no purpose. Wasn't used to emphasize anything or build interest. Just looks like the camera man couldn't stay still for two seconds and kept playing with the zoom buttons for fun.
hundreds of thousands of dollars of equipment but didn't spend the time to learn a basic dolly move. It completely takes you out of what he is saying and when it changes direction without a cut, looks terrible. On top of that, why did they roast him with a pink light instead of taking the time to properly balance the shot...
One thing most people forget when talking about resolution is that pretty much every movie shot today has some sort of CGI/VFX in it. Higher resolution footage with more information is going to make tracking in VFX elements a lot easier.

For a video about cameras, they could have asked someone with experience to hold the recording camera for them. Did they ask someone off the street "Hey can you hold this".

I'm sitting here waiting for Red to release a 65mm Komodo RF camera. Maybe Kinefinety will do it one day. Now that Full Frame is becoming affordable, we just need some 65mm sensor cameras to come out and for technology to trickle down. For some lens manufacturers to get going on affordable Medium Format cinema lenses.

lower pixel density = lower noise , try convincing people in the dslr forum that a 16mp D4s is still a camera I would have over the D850.
Thanks for the video! Y'all could really do with some better editing, though. There's lots of opportunities to cut dead space, um's or uh's. And there were a lot of weird cuts that seemed like a mistake. But overall, really helpful!

If you want to shoot anamorphic, you should seriously shoot on an Alexa with that 4:3 sensor.
fun fact: alexa mini and sxt have 4:3 capable sensors, but some older alexa's have 16:9 sensors. And the new Monstro sensor actually gives you more height and resolution than the 4:3 Alexa sensor

you will be able to buy a classic alexa for a couple grand, good stuff
