I'll be honest, ETS2 AI do have problems with roundabouts and sometimes junctions. If you're too far forward, they'll stop and you'll have to find a way around them.
@@focusedford2302 If they stop in the middle of junctions without traffic lights, you can simply just wait or simply reverse, then the AI will continue on. However if the junction is clogged, they you'll have to find a ways, teleport or set g_traffic 0 and back.
I wouldn't say they don't have that many problems the SCS ai drives with there head up their ass and they do really stupid things for the dumbest reasons.
These are my favourites. Eurotruck and buses. I can't believe how advanced they've become since I started watching your videos. Thanks for introducing me to all these European cities. Ghent looks like a place I could live in.
correct! I have been a couple of times to gent sint pieters station, love the trams there waay better than here in Antwerp. But don't get why you guys have like 3x a repeat of the announcement, but whatever. Don't know what TML was thinking at 25:48, because you live in the area, maybe someone can explain. Is this the gent area? Where like there is a albert heijn not far from it? Because it looks broken.

The physics in fernbus is amazing when you turn the bus, you actually feel the weight of the bus turning, this coming from a person who played ets2 for 100 hours
The AI is perfectly fine, gridlocked traffic is exactly what you should expect when you drive here IRL. Gent-Sint-Pieters train station is pretty realistic, Maria Hendrika plein (with all the bicycles) as well. But the streets leading up to that are a poor reflection of the real thing.
Oo, donuts 🍩, beat part of the video 😀. Agree on some of the broken gameplay elements, only have the game a couple weeks with a few hours and finding it somewhat challenging to deal with some of the broken parts. I really want to like this game but I’ll probably get tired of fighting it. Maybe Simbus will be better when it comes out.
I like how everything looks the right size, tower blocks and wind turbines are massive. In ETS2 everything kinda looks like it’s scaled down. Too bad about all the bugs.
Im suprised they used "brussel south" its mostly called Gare de Bruxelles-midi(french) or brussels-south(english). Brussel zuid is the official dutch name but not verry common.
Even with the horrible AI traffic, this game is fun! If you get trapped by the AI just push them out of the way. You wont lose points if you do it right
I live in Gent and I can say that the scenery is way more realistic. It's a shame they didn't model our beautiful medieval centrum. Brussels was not very realistic at all. There is way more elevation there and the buildings are much different.
Down here in Africa...... 16:20 we dont stop for the red light if you're turning to the right on that type of junction. Red light is only for vehicles that are proceeding straight ahead.
It's just TML reusing traffic lights from Germany. I mean seriously? They're too lazy to model new traffic lights for each counties. SCS did a better job making different traffic light styles for each countries ETS 2 (states in ATS), including the sequences. Traffic lights in ETS 2: Red + amber - Green - amber - red (except France, Netherlands, Italy) Traffic lights in ATS: Red - green - amber - red (all states) Traffic lights in TML games: Red - green - amber - red (all countries) TML are dumbasses
the "lidl" trucks say "laedle", or "lädle" which comes from "laden" (shop) i don't know if it's regional or if it generally means "small shop" in case anybody cares, which nobody does lol...
Ghent is an amazing city. Pity they didn't do the entire center, that would be an epic challenge with a bus :D. And Belgian highways being 'if you mess it up you 're f'cked'. Yes. That's realistic.
Brussels is a bit disappointing here, though obviously you can't get everything in. The old (interesting) part of the city is inside that pentagon-shaped ring road, and the area is not modelled. The inner ring road itself is now covered in concrete and glass. The old buildings were demolished in the 1960s to create it! The road you fuelled up on should be one-way and certainly should not have any trees! So, probably not bad, given the limited possibilities of the DLC.
"They should call Scania and ask them ´Hey, can we put your name into the game?´" ... he said while driving a Scania with Logo and everything. I would say the devs where just to lazy to update the old models after the got the deal with Scania.
TML are stupid, lazy, pathetic. They should shut down because they make crappy games and don't bother to fix. Also I love how people excusing other's for being lazy, yet people who comment on YT are lazy themselves at times.
The traffic lights aren't exactly correct for Brussels and those signs on them are incorrect (the lights themselves are arrows when direction is needed to what's what)

I remember when you first covered this game. You pointed out the same issues. Typical of modern game devs. Lazy and incompetent. Maximize DLC and ignore bugs and player feedback.
Not always 100% set though. I specifically know of a section in the city center where I live where there are 2 routes to the next stop, and the driver can select either freely.
I’m considering it. Despite maybe the AI issue. It will be a nice addition for my rig I got recently. But even on ETS2 traffic has issues. If you set traffic to lvl 3 with the console, for once on a roundabout with lights, there was a truck stuck on the traffic lights. Even though they were on green. I had to reset traffic and then set it back to lvl 3; that was on the Iberia dlc.
It sounds like the engine RPM does not change much, and it looks like the bus doesn't have any suspension either, is that really realistic? All the dynamics feel almost closer to a Commodore 64 than a 2021 game.
Why they put path finding on some of those piddly side roads I don't know. Nobody really needs to see them going on and coming off lots, it just clogs up.
quite disappointed with the detail, almost none of signs are correct, lights aren't, marking on the road are incorrect, building styles aren't ie. the roofs are normally steeper, or just flatroofs, in brussels you got the Belvedère style (very steep and then almost flat) on the older buildings. and lol at that german farm. almost all highways are threelane ones. they should've modelled the crossings of the highways at Ghent, it's a very interesting one.
