Hi! I am looking forward for next videos with shelly on light switch real installation. I am not electrician so i do not know installations on depth. I have installed a shelly 2.5 in one of my window covers and working excellent in shutter mode. Congratulations for your channel!

I agree with Javier about looking forward to the next video. Any idea when you might have it available?

I have a 2 pull chain ceiling fan without a wall switch. I was thinking about using the 2.5 to control the lights and fan for it.

Did this work for you? I am thinking of doing the same thing

@@treyclark1 Sorry, I've not done it yet. I bought the relay but haven't installed it yet.

There are better dedicated fan control modules available, which you wire into the fan (hide it in the surround at the top of the fan downrod) and let you control both the fan speed and light remotely. The Sonoff iFan04 seems to be the popular choice, and costs less than a Shelly.

For a switch on a 15a breaker, how do you justify in terms of safety the shelly 2.5's 10a rating?

It controls 10a per channel. In other words, each of those red wires that connect to two devices can draw 10a. If you're drawing more than 10a for a single light source, you've got bigger problems.

I have mine wired in a j-box, ready to install to operate my pool light. But the software refuses to connect to it. The Shelly website wants me to chat with a guy in Bulgaria (???) at some crazy hours. Any hints as to a workaround?

Do you know how these devices are treated for box-fill calculations? I'm working in an environment where regulatory compliance is strictly enforced. I tried to use one of these and both the inspector and supervisory EE refused to sign off. No box fill data, no use. Period.

@@gamagetf Mine doesn't. Hmm. Got it two weeks ago. Must be old stock.
But the software still doesn't see the device, even though it shows up in the WiFi list. The relays work, but no remote control at all.
