For sure that plays a part in it. But lets not forget that Google created an environment where cookie cutter garbage content did well for almost a decade. So it was pretty natural for businesses to do what worked.
It's about time that googles huge monopoly comes to an end, it's just the natural way of things, nothing lasts forever. It's time for other companies to take the spotlight.

let’s not underestimate a company that redefined how we access information, If Google collapses, the ripple effect it will have to established businesses on google search will be so overwhelming and search as we know it, will be interfered and complicated to what customers are used to, instead of vouching for Google to fail we better hope Google integrates new Search strategies that resonates with AI and solution first approach rather than sponsored ads.
It's not only the companies that are relaying on Google that will have a big impact. The whole AI thing will leave its mark. Content writers, website and software developers to name a view, will also feel the impact of AI. Like always in the world, it's going to be an interesting time...
The irony here is that the video blaming Google garbage search results is published on youtube with the clickbait title to get to the top of search results for profit :)

I will tell you a secret. One year before Google, in Russia, Yandex was created. Yandex is popular in Russia, their search engine is way better than Google, their location services on maps much more detailed and precise, their ordering services from stores, restaurants etc much better etc.

Accurate video and excellent description of the situation. In my opinion, Google is about to lose its leadership in internet search and it will happen within the next year. Another industry that will disappear is everything related to SEO because there was no longer any need for it.

Google are one of the major innovators of AI 🤖. They have consistently had some of the best AI people in the world working for them e.g. Nobel Prizes for folks at DeepMind this year! 🍾They have a massive infrastructure, and a comprehensive cloud/AI ecosystem that's essentially a ✨360° solution for businesses. Their low key approach, compared to more investor-hungry competitors, might make them appear conservative. But I reckon - don't be fooled. While Google's AI releases haven't been as flashy as GPT or Claude, their silent power is always there.
