I've been researching helmets and bikes for almost a year and I'm glad I found ur light kits to make my hlemet stand out more for safety reasons cant wait until I get this for the next riding season
I've been riding for almost 30 years, and have used modular helmets (all of them Shoei in various forms) since 2000 when I stopped using contact lenses and switched to glasses. So much more practical on my 140km daily commute and on those long trips to Europe or northern Scandinavia/Lapland. Now I've upgraded my old dark Neotech to an all white Neotech II, just for visibilitys sake. Even if style and appearance are less important than aforementioned visibility, this I'd see as a welcome safety addition. I wonder if longer connecting wires would make it possible to install strips on on the moving chin part, so that the wires would move with the hinge. And yes, I am an uncle for four nephews and own several toolkits. I'm also 53 and daily ride my Hayabusa and weekend cruise on my LS 650 Savage. So there :).
Thanks for the great video. I understand the dislike of the modular. However when I went to Dirtball Dave's at the Snowshack to buy a new helmet they were all modular. Now I was not a fan of modular- I think they provide less impact protection. However, living in a winter climate and having a year round helmet(motorcycle/snowmobile)😉 they are kinda the way to go. When you have to stop when riding in minus 15 below zero weather and 50mile an hour winds- the flip ups come in handy to not have to take the helmet off entirely. BTW I used scotch tape to "place" the best lay out. (My helmet also has an internal shield- the lever is on the left- so I had to work around that too). I know it's probably not the best but I found I had to overlap the lighting for a better fit. And the wrap around you showed for the cords was great- that helped a lot to take up the slack. Hey, I resemble that remark. I have a modular helmet. I have 9, count them, NINE nieces & nephews (so yes, I'm an uncle). And yes, I have a tool kit in every vehicle I own (as well as in every room in my house).
A different set of designs from spider webs to Celtic knot work or loads of things to match peoples tattoos on their helmets, plus a bigger controller to use more pieces if the helmet has space would be really cool. Or if you branched off to make the inside of the helmet glow in less illegal. Or themed kits they can get for helmet and bike, that they can mount soundly to the sides of their bike or such. Or the next step is getting helmets produced with a different kind of light system built into it if legal.

I wish you allowed existing customers to purchase the strips and mounts by themselves. For use for those with multiple helmets. I don't need multiple controllers and can move my existing controller from helmet to helmet just like I move my Cardo but it seems that if I own an EVO set on my full face and want a Blade set on my 3/4 I can not purchase just the strips and a mount to accomplish this. Resulting in effectively a $120 controller I don't need :(
I have the Simpson bandit and need to cross cross them in the back to get it to fit, which actually looks really good. Can the wires plug into any of the tapes or is it specific?

Looks like an update to the EL wire my friends and I used to tape to our bike helmets in the 1980's after watching Tron... and the LED and fiber optics I used on my bike helmets circa 2000. Nice update and less cumbersome than what I remember from 30-ish (and even 20-ish) years ago, but at that price it's no surprise that folks are buying the $12 ones from AliExpress. Spend another few dollars on an LED dog collar, add some soldering and you add all the other features but low voltage protection for less than $20. That said, I'd pay $49 for this, not $99 and especially not $149. Bad business model dude.

Yes, that's completely normal. It's the inevitable result of converting DC to AC at high frequency. You shouldn't be able to hear it over your engine and wind noise.

I dont make lights according to helmet brands/models. LightMode kits are universal so they can fit on any motorcycle helmet. If you want to check the fitment of the lights before you buy, print out a template: www.lightmodehelmets.com/templates
Unfortunately, the adhesives are one-time use so they won't stick well or at all after you unpeel them. Weaker adhesives may be reusable, but we prioritized high speed performance over reusability. Waterproof, no. Water resistant, yes. It can handle light to moderate rain, but don't go dunking it under water.
