  • If you love hidden gems, you’ll love Spooky Canyon. The extremely short hike known as Spooky Canyon is a small slot canyon, located off highway 93 near the border of Nevada and Arizona and only a few miles from Hoover Dam, and about 40 minutes from Las Vegas. This is not to be confused with Spooky Gulch in Utah. We came across Spooky Canyon after our adventure hiking Liberty Bell Arch and Arizona Hot Springs. The canyon itself was dark and mysterious, especially in one of the side canyons. I guess that’s why it was named “Spooky”. It was definitely a wonderful find and a nice way to round out our full day of adventures.

      It's such a neat spot. I with the mic would have picked up the sound a little bit better. I think that was the really spooky part! Glad we can bring you along with us on our adventures 😊

    Nice video. Look into a Lumecube Panel Go for lighting. They a small and might be of use in those dark slot canyons. 👍

      Thanks John! I'll definitely look into that. Our poor gopros were struggling in there!

    I’m curious on the parking situation, looked like you just parked on the side of the road. Is there any identifying landmarks to look for ? I’ve always wanted to do this hike but unsure of just how to get there.

      Yes it is directly of the side of the highway a short distance from the Arizona Hot springs trailhead. You can find the coordinates to it here

    Why is there a fence? Is it private property?

    • @LiveThatAdventure
      @LiveThatAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The fence is to keep the animals from crossing over the busy highway. It is not on private property, according to our research.

    i didnt know the left side of the fork continues that far. it didn't look reward to scramble the flaky walls. i might check it out next time. this hike also connects to the liberty arch trail if you pass under the road "tunnel" . just take a left when you exit out the entrance of spookie canyon

      @@alvinperlas it definitely goes on for a little bit, but some of those clients are tricky. That's wild. We didn't know that it continued on to Liberty Arch! We had hiked to that one on our way to Arizona Hot springs, but it might be fun to do it from spooky canyon next time!

    I've heard about this canyon, but haven't explored it yet.

      You would dig it! It's way cooler if you go on a slightly windy day because that's when the little caves howl. It's super creepy!
