A lot of people just don't know how truly beautiful the Desert is. My Dad and I were desert rats. Thanksgiving to Easter. Then its too hot. My Dad would of been 81 this past Sunday. its been 30 years already. I sure miss you Pop.
Desserts, forest, grasslands & parklands all have their beauty. I think North America has the prettiest deserts. The Great Basin Desert is my favorite.
I don't know if it has a name, but about 50 years ago we visited a warm spring pond like this in the middle of Nevada. Located about halfway between Ely and Elko. Private property owned by friends of ours. It had tropical fish living in it year round. And this beautiful turquoise color too.

There used to be years ago a hotel near the sea where Clark Gable, and other old time hollywood stars would spend time at the hot springs, they had cement tanks that they would pump the water into, and mud baths. Just remembering that reminds me of my dad, he loved to explore our desert.

There's a couple just south of Wendover, right along the Utah Border. "Blue Lake". Great bass fishing; we've caught Tilapia, Cichlid, and Pumpkinseed there, too. Isn't the West just amazing?

Another method of emphasizing your message on (keeping the area clean) would have been to tell people how clean the area was and what a good job people were doing of keeping it clean. Their are multiple signs asking people to pick up their trash. People are way more motivated by positive reinforcement. Just saying.
My wive’s family has a ranch that uses the spring water to irrigate and that little fish you talked about lives in that spring too, and likes to nibble at the dead skin that we all have

@@pso142 thank you! You can either leave it on the shore with your towel and other stuff or you can always get a dry bag and float it along with you. Just be sure that you get a nice dry bag that doesn't leak if you go with that option

There was a great hot spring in northern Nevada that I used to go to often. The Bureau of Land Management decided to “improve” it. It’s not worth going to now.
I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand I’m glad to learn about this place (and I hope to go there) but on the other hand, telling the world has a potential to draw masses of people. When I discover special places I try to keep it a secret. Lastly, the music on this video sucks. Sorry to sound so negative. I’m not attacking you. Just being honest with my feelings. Peace. ✌🏼

I was always told you want to go in nude your clothing has dyes and phosphates and other detergent and chemicals that polute the warm water and definitely don't wear any deodorant and perfumes and lotions.
@LiveThatAdventure yeah it's what I've been told... just really have to respect them because like I said the heat can dissolve any phosphates and chemicals faster than usual and like others have commented the main concern is people coming and abusing and polluting them.

We have hot pots in Utah. Much hotter than 85 though. I love them best natural and not cemented, like so many have been done.

Nevada also has a Hot Creek Springs further north in Elko County.
Back in the early 60s there was a working hot springs resort north of Elko called Mineral Hot Springs. Fantastic experience.

There are MANY hot springs in the west. Check out Idaho, too. It has many hot springs.
