    Hello, are snake encounters a big issue on these hikes or are they usually discouraged by the amount of hikers on the trails? Any advice or knowledge would be appreciated.

    • @LiveThatAdventure

      We haven't run into any snakes or seen any mentions about them on the trail. However, it's always good to keep an eye out for them though.

      You might encounter snakes in the warmer months, they hibernate in winter and wake up around end of May and into April, and this is the time of the year most snake bites happen.
      Usually, they’ll do their best to stay out of your way, as they want to do with you as much as you want to do with them. However, always pay attention to the trail and sides of the trails and on where you are going to put your feet or hand and you’ll be fine 👍

    Is this close to devils bridge ? I am planning my trip 3rd week of January.

      Devils bridge has several trail heads. But they are about 7 miles apart. You can find the gps coordinates to all of the trails on our website. Have a great trip! 😁

    Do you need a permit to get to the parking area?

    • @LiveThatAdventure
      @LiveThatAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Adam! No permit is needed, just a lot of luck. The parking lot for this Trail is really small and it took us a couple attempts to get a spot.

    One trail you might want to check out is Hangover Trail, one of my all time favorite trails in Sedona, just keep and eye out for mountain bikers as this is also a double black diamond mtb trail.

      @LiveThatAdventure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much! So glad to hear that you enjoy them! Hangover trail has been on our list for a while now. We always seem to run out of time on our trips. Hopefully we will get it on the next one. 😁🤙

    Good video & info, don’t think we would’ve thought to attempt the climb on top of the cave if we didn’t see it in this video…had the whole area to ourselves with the best views 👍🏻

      @LiveThatAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's awesome that you had it to yourself! We were lucky enough to have it too but we had to wait a while for it to clear out. The way to the top doesn't lil possible until you see someone do it. :)

      @ThatAdventureLife Yoooo you weren't lying when you said that view from up top is breathtaking. I was the only one brave enough to scramble up there. I hiked Soldier's Pass - including the cave - up to Bins Mesa, down that section, and back across Jordan trail. The view above was certainly a highlight of my trip so far. Thanks, guys!

      @20Msilva10 We are so glad that you got to experience it! That little ledge up to the top. Sure is thrilling, isn't it? We hope that you have a great time on the rest of the trip to Sedona!

    Food for thought....ya ever think that maybe we Sedonans don't appreciate folks revealing many of our sacred areas to the whole damn world....some of these places are thousands of years old then tons of people started to GPS the sacred sites to all their friends and started trampling all over this National treasure...Although your professionalism and care of the land on your journey...... others could do well to learn.

      Hello, These are already incredibly popular spots. What we are doing is trying to teach people how to visit them in a responsible manner (pick up trash, don't stack rocks, etc). There are unfortunately always going to be idiots out there, but if we could help inspire people to take care of these areas, maybe we can help swing things back in the right direction.

      News flash all social media platforms are revealing these locations lol but I get it. It pisses me off too when I see a heap of tourists trampling in and not practicing Leave NO trace.

      Theyre "public" trails duffus! That's what we ALL PAY taxes for. 😂
