If I was him, I would be stifling laughter. But he just seems uncomfortable the whole time, and he doesn’t have any interest in destroying her as a person. He’s there for the right reasons, for the kids.

Sarah Leyva Pike was arrested in Maine and extradited to Amelia County, VA on charges of solicitation of the murders of circuit court Judge Joseph M. Teefey Jr., his wife, attorney Brooke Teefey, and Amelia Sheriff Ricky Walker, making a threat in writing, and another threat to bomb or burn a public building. In Nov 2023 she requested a jury trial. At that hearing, the case was continued to Jan 25 and 26 for the trial. --> And that is how she is doing right now. Father has the children; they are safe, happy, and loved. She has no contact.

An Amelia County woman has pled guilty to two felony threat charges after months of threatening Facebook posts, emails and phone calls made towards the Amelia County Sheriff’s Office, an Amelia judge and others.
Levya was sentenced to five years on both felony convictions, with all but six months suspended.

Clearly, many people in these comments have had little experience with "Childrens' Services" storming in (usually late at night) with the scantiest of evidence (if any) and ripping children -- crying and screaming in terror -- from their parents' arms. The entire system, with the intent of erring on the side of keeping children safe, judges the accused as guilty and requires them to then somehow prove their innocence against the tide that already has judged them guilty. Even Mike made the idiotic comment, "Oh yeah, then why don't you have custody of your kids?" as if that somehow proved guilt. These so-called childrens' "services" cause horrific trauma to the children and are never accountable for what they do. Anyone who pretends to know what is true here is just foolish. You don't. And anyone who pretends to know that the children are better off torn from their lives and their home to be thrown into the spin cycle of State custody is just ignorant. And if you are with the TRULY STUPID who believe that these self-righteous prejudging child kidnappers are never wrong, then disregard anything I have written because it won't reach a reasoning brain cell anyway.

The “Cause” gives her purpose and meaning which is reinforced by the approval of her friends, accolades from activists who use her and notoriety on social media. Toss in animus toward her husband and any judge or attorney that dares to defy her it is a pretty heady cocktail. Dopamine on the rocks with an adrenaline chaser.

For what it’s worth - from Reddit:
“Hi. I am a TH-camr who did a deep dive on Sarah's case for the purposes of supporting her I contacted her via email for a copy of the evidence folder she advertises on her TikTok and she provided it to me.
Her story was extremely compelling however once I reviewed the documentation I dropped the entire project as I could not frame this in any way that would make her look good without lying about what I found. The Texas family court has a pretty bad reputation when it comes to seperating children from thier parents. A lot of these stories are absolutely heartbreaking. This is not one of those cases.
The hardest part of sorting all of this out was figuring out how the things Sarah was saying during the hearings related to what was actually going on. She has a tendancy to skip steps in her thought processes which makes it difficult for 3rd parties to follow along. There is what she is saying, and there is what she means and the two do not always align unless you've studied the timeline, the court videos, as well as her social media posts. I will do my best to elaborate.
For example, one of her videos is a hearing is to force the recusal of the judge overseeing her case however during the video she does not provide any legal justification for the recusal of Judge Wells. She instead attempts to retry her child custody issue starting from the arbitration agreement. That is not the purpose of this hearing but she believes that going higher up will get her the results she wants, but it wont.
She keeps refering to the "irrevocable mediated settlement" that she claims gave her the right to take the children out of state. Sarah has provided this to me directly upon request via email and she is incorrect. Everything that followed stems from that primary fundamental misunderstanding.
Had she clearly states her intentions the arbitrator would have advised that they cannot grant it as a matter of law.
She believes a personally requested addendum written in vague language that she requested be added to the arbitration agreement supercedes Texas state law, which it doesn't. No child custody arbitration agreement allows one parent to take a child out of state without the other's knowledge or permission. She is wrong about this and refuses to move forward on anything else until a court agrees to this which will never happen.
What she refers to as "perjury" from child services is thier "unwillingness to admit that she outsmarted the texas family court system" by adhering to state law instead of the vague language addendum she requested.
She has also conducted herself in a mannor which a reasonable person can only presume to be bad faith. In addition to constantly interrupting the proceedings and threatening to have her ex husband shot when he drove to virgina to see the boys, she attempts to include family court employees home addresses in her filings despite having zero relevance to the case. Whether this was done for the purposes of harassment or not, it would facilitate the harassment of family court employees. She has shared the courtroom zoom link with another activist in her circle, who was completely unrelated to the case, so he could actively disrupt the proceedings. I also suspect that she was involved in a DDoS attack on her ex husbands lawyer's office in another effort to disrupt and deprive him of his lawful representation during a hearing beefore a judge.
There are steps she can take to regain access to her children. She simply refuses to engage with those steps or take any action to get them back through the system which is why her original attorney quit. I have a copy of those texts as well provided to me by Sarah herself. She now believs that her former lawyer is also a part of the conspiracy against her.
I have reviewed every document and I can only reasonably conceive of two possible scenarios:
Scenario 1 - Sara Pike is extremely intelligent and dangerous person who has found a way hack the court system to harass her ex husband, as well as the court staff who have rightfully sided with state law, while falsely interjecting herself into an activist circle with legitimate grievances in order to garner personal attention and build a career as an activist.
Scenario 2 - She is mentally ill and is being enabled by strangers online.”

Definitely a system of law, nationwide, that needs a to be fixed.

That usually drives me nuts too, but now I've seen a few instances, like this one, where I feel like it's at least somewhat intentional. It's as if the judge has some idea what kind of person they're dealing with (based on the previous motions, court interactions and that they're representing themselves) and the judge realizes the futility of responding as they would with any normal person in their midst, and also wants to allow the person to show themselves on record. Either way it requires some serious patience to deal with people like that.

Yes. I had to pay lawyer fees for at least 2 years extra because my ex-husband refused to comply with court orders, refused to hand in his documentation for discovery request while I immediately handed in mine. He also kept hiring and firing attorneys which delayed everything because each new one needed time to get to know the case. He lied repeatedly, even about things that we easily proved in court were straight out lies. He perjured himself many times. He never paid anything, he was penalized with fees that he just refused. It took me 2 years to save up to a lawyer's retainer so I could file for divorce, and during 5 years I have had to borrow and pay about $60,000.00 to pay my lawyer... My ex still refuses to pay... He has even left the country to avoid the court appointed back arrears and support.
I am happy to finally have the divorce finished and the judge was fair; I just hope that I will get something of what he owes me. I'm living on disability, so there's very little money coming in.
In spite of the judge's fairness, it has been devastating to see him get away with all his lawbreaking and procrastination in full view of the court... I wish that the judge would have put more pressure on him and his different lawyers. It would have saved me thousands of dollar.

I am retired from almost 25 years of working child protection. I had to change my home phone # numerous times & had special security for my family at least twice. But the best story was an alcoholic father that belonged to a pre-sovereign citizen group. He would email the group leader w/cc to the rest of the group before hearings & after hearings. BUT... Somehow he got my work email mixed up in his cc list! So I got a copy of every email he sent out! And he was telling them some magnificent whoppers about what was said in court, what he'd done to comply with orders, and how the foster family was trying to steal his children by lying to the court! He had 3 children & failed to mention that 2 of them were over 16 and in independent living group homes and apartments, not in foster care w/foster parents who wanted to steal them. 🙄 The 3rd pre-teen had transferred to supervised relative care with a maternal aunt where disabled mom & her little dog, too, were also living. There was a no contact order between Dad, the children & their caregivers because he'd been arrested many times for being violent when drunk - which was most of the time.
Finally even his group leader started questioning Dad's stories & offered to go to court w/him. Dad refused saying it would make the judge & caseworker (me) mad & we'd stop his supervised visits (which he never showed up for 😒). He was very surprised at the next court hearing when I testified we'd have no problem with his "friend" coming to court with him! His attorney asked why I'd mentioned that fact. I advised that he'd sent me an email stating he was afraid we'd stop his visitation if his friend came to court to support him. He called me an f-ing liar & said he'd never sent me an email! Therefore we got to enter the string of emails he'd been sending into the court file! The judge was definitely unhappy about the lies he'd been telling about court & persons involved. Also his not taking any responsibility for ANYTHING! I never got another email! 😅 Sadly, his children never re-established a relationship with him and their mother passed away a few years back. But they are all living successfully on their own now - the oldest girl is now a surgical nurse at a large children's hospital. Not bad for kids whose parents used to send them to the grocery store w/a shopping list, no money, and told them they'd have to sleep on the streets if they came home with no food. 😊

This woman is absolutely insufferable. She’s one of those people who researched just enough that she can make everyone miserable with her ridiculous filings, but she still doesn’t know what she’s doing. Also, Why does the judge keep letting her interrupt?? She needs to be held in contempt for interrupting so much, she’s doing it on purpose. I feel bad for anyone she comes into contact with. What a nightmare of a human being.

Aah, the old 'thinks she's intelligent but doesn't have real legal knowledge, and isn't actually particularly bright, so she can't tell how stupid her motions and statements are' chestnut.
On the bright side, when you get someone like that, they always end up just digging themselves into stupid holes because their thought process isn't thought out. They manage to figure out a reason to object to something but hasn't thought through the entire process, and thus doesn't know where to go with it or how they can even benefit herself by making her motions and objections.
No good lawyer is going to go bringing up petty rules of court to argue as its unnessesary. They already know that they have done it within the letter of the law. This woman just doesn't understand nuance and that just because it's not exactly the way she reads the one interpretation of a particular law, doesn't mean that it's been done incorrectly.

Yeah! I mean, people who are facing civil charges and can't afford a lawyer are just supposed to lay down and take it! Plebs like her need to realize that they don't matter! If you can't afford a lawyer in a civil case, why would you think you are smart enough to spend hours studying so to try to defend yourself! Poor people are so dumb!

They should have put her on mute the moment she started interrupting everyone. I've seen other judges do it, and it's frankly the only way anything got done with people like her who can't even wait to hear an entire sentence before objecting. (also the fact she objects before they can complete a sentence is very telling about her motives and innocence; if you can prove you're innocent why would it matter if they finish speaking? she's not aiming to refute them but silence them, probably the same way she kept her husband oppressed in the household.. shouting over him and telling him he's wrong and has no place to say what he does) You can tell she has no respect for the court system and just wants to see how she can use it to demand respect for *herself.*

Ex hubby also in Texas also kidnapped our kids. It was a court ordered visitation across state lines, I didn't go because it was determined my presence may put them at risk so my Mom took them. Didn't matter, when my daughter about 4 or 5 , said basically mom had moved on and had boyfriend (we had been separated for over a year and the only reason the divorce hadn't happened is because of his stalling) he went ballistic beat my mother and his mother up and took the kids. I had kind of prepared for that possibility and had spent the weeks prior talking the the FBI in Texas. Long story short I got my kids back. His mom and my Mom had bruises but were fine.

All the judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and LEOs work for the same corporation. They have their own legalese language that is not the same English definitions as we use. They are all in it together,so she is correct to say the new judge is in on it.

@@headcleaver2003 I mean you can look up legal definitions, plus it's the same thing in the STEM fields. They have to be precise even in their language. But no she is not correct, she is attempting to discredit the court for not agreeing with her. It seems to me that she has some type b cluster personality disorders. Also I don't know if you know but the gov is a tool made up of 3 different corps that technically work together but it's because each one of them has some degree of power over the others.

Totally agree with your summation. Even if she couldn't pay them, hitting her with the attorney's fees would've made a statement about how unacceptable her behavior was. She wouldn't be able to acknowledge that rebuke, but it at least maintains a standard. And accusing a judge of treason and child trafficking merited being jailed for contempt.
Regarding her strange, emotionless affect, my guess is that she's so narcissistic that the only thing she cares about is avenging the insult to her pride resulting from having her children taken from her. There's no room for anything else. On the other hand, she might be taking some form of medication that just flattens her emotions out.
