    Yes, I replaced the video. The original was missing ambient crowd sounds when I wasn't narrating. This is the same one but with those added. A much better experience. If you already watched it...you can go again and if you posted a comment and wonder what happened then that's what it is.

      THANK YOU! Still gonna watch it again but no ambient drove me and my brother crazy, thanks for fixing it

    What a great shout about the ref! He was not intending to call PR's foul!
    Catching Foster agreeing to the sub cancellation, keen eye there!
    Also liked the clip of Bollard and Ba having a laugh. Feel Ba has had quite some stick and that can prey on a young player.
    Superb as always and was looking forward to the watch all day during a long shift. Cheers as always Alt

      Ahh, no problem. It's great to know it's all appreciated. I like chucking in those extras. There's so much more to a game and a feel of things than just the goals.

      @@altending 100%. It's the beautiful game that caught our attention, but it's the stories that keep us coming back

    This is probably the most awesome video (on any subject) that i have watched this week, and let me tell you matey, I have watched a lot of videos this week.. at least 20!!
    LIKED AND SUBSCRIBBED!!!!!!!!
    A few videos back i suggested that the 'spark' was missing, i think the last few games have shown that it is returning. There have been noticable changes/improvements in tactics, some subtle, some not so much. Thankfully, your videos are a godsend in this aspect as they highlight and confirm changes and intentions.
    2 actions I liked by Luke: Ball into box, instead of facing the opposite player and wrestling to win the ball, he faced the incoming ball, gently butt nudged the guy, winning the ball and was already facing the right way to bring it out to safety. The other subtle moment towards the end when Dan Neil ran/stepped infront of the Plymouth lad to take control, as Dan turned, Luke stepped between them to block the guy from tackling Dan back, this meant Dan could focus on driving up field.
    Plymouth should have known not to leave one man against Jack, but on most occassions through the game, when Jack ran, he had 3 or 4 players matching his run. He used to run into trouble, be isolated and lose the ball. With players alongside and an obvious instruction to mix up going to the bye line and play earlier balls, he (and tge other ball carriers) had team mates to spread the defence out and bodies to receive a pass. His 'surrendering possession' stats must have plummeted in recent weeks. I loved that he slowed and beckoned Dan, who overlapped and drew Mumba away, the lack of doubling up worked a treat.
    Gotta work (over done my brew break)
    Great vid. Enjoy your week and next match.

    Great video analysis as always TTD - great you highlighted Dan Neil's performance as he ran the show - hope there's more to come.........with maybe Rigg getting more time in the middle alongside him?

    • @altending
      @altending  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      He was incredible...I don't see how we keep hold of these players for another 18 months, which I think we need before promotion is a realistic hope. I think we'll see more of Rigg this second half of the season.

  • @krismezza
    @krismezza 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Massive difference between the 1st and 2nd half for Sunderland - whatever Beale said, worked. He has said himself he likes his teams to play quick, direct, and to take shots when they can. We need to be testing the opposition goalies more - scored 3 in the second half, when we only had one shot on target in the first. Need to stop trying to walk the ball into the net. I've been behind Beale since he was appointed - he wasn't my first, second, or even third choice - but if he's doing well, SAFC is doing well. And that is all i care about. Bring on Huddersfield, and more importantly, Birmingham!
    Great vid as always Trenchy, appreciate the effort and time it takes to make one of these!

      Lots of time yes, but worth while given so many seem to want this sort of stuff. Small steps, but we look like it's improving. Onwards we hope.

      It's a lot, but lots of you show your appreciation by leaving a comment and that makes it all worth while. Not covering the Huddersfield game though...turnaround too short. Back for Brum. See ya in the comments for that one.

    Thanks Alt for your commentary. I thought Neal had an outstanding game. O’Nein had a belter and superb goals, completed a great second half performance.
    Keep it up Michael and I may have to eat humble pie.

    • @altending
      @altending  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      NP, I enjoy it and others seem to enjoy what I do so everyone's happy. Even Michael Beale these days.

  • @ralphcarney5084
    @ralphcarney5084 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Fascinating insight about the press trap - an indication of more complex tactics from Beale than we saw under Mowbray perhaps. Certainly I have more faith that we will make tactical adjustments depending on opposition and have a plan b than with Mowbray.
    Have to say I'm unconvinced about Ba in a central role, don't think he has the close control/awareness/cool head to operate in those tight pockets, much more suited to the wing imo.

    • @altending
      @altending  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. I prefer Ba out wide as well. Let's see how the tactics go. Still early days

      @Andrew-eo2cw 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Will be interesting to see if this will be a thing for other young players. Normally when you sign a player, they and the club know their best position. We may be doing some of the work usually done in a youth system.

    • @ralphcarney5084
      @ralphcarney5084 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Andrew-eo2cwYeah the transfer model means we have adopted a sort of hybrid between the academy and first team where a decent chunk of the squad are getting regular minutes in both. Infinitley preferable to the sign a player for the youth team at 17 only to then never hear about him again till he leaves on a free at 21 system haha
