    Very thankful that our club has a channel that analyses games like this, I feel like few teams do

      Pretty sure no other club has a channel that does this sort of stuff, but I'm lucky that my club is Sunderland and that there are plenty of fans like you who appreciate my videos.

    Absolutely love this kind of content. I'd watch these for every single Sunderland game if you made them.
    Top analysis and presentation, hats off to you.

      I'd love to have the time to make one for each game, but I do this in my spare time around a job bringing up little kids and trying not to irritate my wife with it. Amazed I find the time tbh.
      That you subscribe and watch what I do get the chance to make I'm really grateful for though. You must have subbed in pre-season then or when I did the season review monster vid? Is that right?

    Alt, take a bow son. That’s the second video of yours I’ve watched and it was absolutely class (first being Uncle Tony’s sacking). Please keep up the great work! I’ll be tuning in every week. Very educational, engaging and entertaining! Every Sunderland fan should be subscribed and anyone who like football tactics etc.
    Champion!

    • @altending

      Gerrin. I'm glad you found the channel. There's loads of stuff to watch. all the reviews have tactics in. Leicester has a lot on corners, The Preston at the end of last season and Southampton this season are good tactical ones to watch. I also do new player profiles - think the Mowbray sacking vid in reverse, why did Sund buy this fella.
      Anyway, I'm glad you like what I do and I'm very glad yo took the time to leave a comment and tell me you like the stuff. It's up to you to help spread the word now as well.

    Ba done a great job defensively. Far too many of our fans are blind to see tactics being employed perfectly. Roberts would’ve got torn a new one in the first half.

    Top vid mate, always look forward to these. Good to see a much faster transition, not so slow and lethargic like previous games. Fast counter attacking football is where we play best, just like Southampton.
    Dodds did well, I didn't think he would, but he did. Defo redeemed himself, great for the bloke. A test for him if we don't get a new coach anytime soon is how he does against teams that try and stifle us, defend in numbers against our wingers and attackers. That's the biggest thing for us getting more points on the board I reckon.

    • @altending
      @altending  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, be interesting to see if he can do it to the other sort of teams this weekend. Regardless, we looked more like our self in these last two games. Confident, free-flowing and fast. It was a joy to see.
      Glad you liked the video.

    Excellent review as always.
    Got as much satisfaction from this victory as the five nil thumping of Southampton who had not really found their feet at the time. Unlike Leeds who were in very good form.
    The horses for courses approach from Dodds was excellent and something we haven't seen much of since Neil. We had a little more experience in the team then, The lads showed maturity in taking on board and executing the game plan with very little prep time. No doubt Pritchard being in the starting line up helped. Ironic that Mowbray might well have been sacked for . wanting more experience in the team but didn't start him.
    Watched a couple of good review podcasts by Leeds fans Gave us credit their only gripe was our challenges from behind which to be fair was as robust as we've seen this season. We certainly let them know we were there.
    The debate about their own performance was interesting. It could have been cut and pasted from many Sunderland podcasts over the last few weeks. Players who could beat anyone on their day but when not firing on all cylinders struggled to break teams playing with a low/mid block. No plan b. Subs like for like with no change in the system. The only real difference was they weren't short of proven strikers but admitted we rendered them ineffective. Amusing musing from the Leeds lads,. .

    • @altending
      @altending  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great to hear you liked it and I completely agree about Leeds. I was going to put in the video some comment along the lines of watching them was like watching us a month ago. Stuck with 10 men in front of them and no ideas of what to do about it. I thought after the first 15 minutes, we managed things really well. Let's see if Dodd's can make it three out of three at the weekend.

      Yep, I was surprised Dodds made such clear changes from Tony. Pleased for him, he backed himself instead of trying to play safe, which probably would have ended in defeat. Brave and well planned. Great result for everyone involved and hopefully gets us the manager we want. I do hope he's on a fat bonus for what he's doing for us.

    Fleet of foot Sleet, it looks like we may have potential emerging between him and Ballard. It’s good to see Pato releasing the ball early, I hope he continues in the same vain. It looks like Doddsy had drilled them well for the set up against Leeds. I was really hyped for this one. Before the game I had us winning 1-0 I told my wife when the full time whistle blew that I thought the result would be 1-0. She looked at me and said bullshit ! Ah well at least I convinced myself ! If by some miracle we get promoted. This is the type of football that will win us points. Mowbrays style was so fun to watch and I don't want us to lose it, but it will only ever get us so far. Look at Burnley! Great football, but getting played off the pitch in the EPL.

    Oh my giddy aunt!! Awesome TH-cam channel, Awesome video!!! Liked, Subscribed twice and shared with all my plastic Liverpool and Man U supporting workmates on site where I work to show them real football and quality fan generated analysis. I'm going to disconnect my blood dialysis machine and plug your channel into the tubes so that I can truly bleed Red and White next time I cut myself with my chop saw!!!
    Great game to watch live and again via the Full 90 repeat AFTER watching your analysis. I recall gritting my teeth a few times at Ab Ba, but the second viewing reminded mw that he'd had a few good touches, made some good tackles and even the mistakes weren't game threatening. Huggins was awesome as usual, but even he gave the ball away a couple of times, yet Ba seemed to be the one receiving grief. Ba still has to tighten up and learn, but he has a role to play in the team. Hopefully he and some of the other lesser spotted squad players can shine in the second and subsequent rounds of the FA Cup.
    Pritchard... Had great impact from the bench previously and showed again in this game how valuable he is at leading from the front with his press, his 'Yorkshire Terrier' like snapping at the heels of opponents and his ability to see a pass. His corners and free kicks aren't always the best, I don't have figures for us scoring from free kicks and corners this last 2 seasons, but every delivery against Leeds was near perfect. (See also his pass to Dan Neil last game as some might have been distracted by Meyender being knocked to the ground).
    I wrote previously that we hadn't suddenly become a bad team, but the magic, the sparkle was missing, well boy oh boy, is it back in spade fulls. Doddy's Team selection, game plan and ability to change things around were the medicine that our metaphoric heartburn was crying out for.
    Bristol City tomorrow (Saturday) 'should' be another 3 points. I've already placed my 'To win' bet. If Ouchiche returns to the team, I'll add a fiver for him to score anytime, although if Seelt plays, he might have a good outside chance of scoring, Hmmmm. choices, choices.
    Anyways, Glad you were able to find time to compile and upload this video, the opening paragraph might have been a bit over the top... or was it?? Love your insight and efforts, keep up the great work and Ha'way The Lads!!

    • @altending
      @altending  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haha... Monster enthusiasm. I think everyone should be like you and subscribe twice a week. You know the interaction and the comments help the algorithm and encourage others, so thank you for always making the effort.
      Ba is young and has improved a lot and will continue to get better. Huggins is just awesome, what a journey he has had from a broken back to his form this season. Agreed on Pritchard and I love your descriptions, you should make a video marra. I just thought overall we played like our old self like we did for the first few months under Mowbray. I think he lost his way 'developing' ideas.
      I'll be at the Bristol City game. Taking my son for his first away match. He might not like the atmosphere. We'll see. But I will have a review next week. Good to hear from you, as ever.

    • @MrRipsaw1
      @MrRipsaw1 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Easy to be enthusiastic about this channel. Have to be careful not to over do it 😀
      I have downloaded and am learning 'Davinci Resolve' for future video creation, but my channel will be based around water activities. I live over on the Isle of Man (part of the reason I only manage 2 or 3 games a season) so I'm more often seen kayaking, cliff jumping or out on a boat than kicking a ball around. My son (mid 20s) plays football, there are local leagues across all ages but most teams here would see Sunday League 3 as a promotion. Not really TH-cam material 😀
      I hope you and your son have a great time at Bristol and that he enjoys the day as a whole. I know the SAFC Away support is vocal and loud (been there, got the shirt). Bring back 3 points and he should be buzzing. HTL

    Sunderland did ok. Don't get carried away yet, though. Most teams beat Leeds when Leeds play away.

    • @altending
      @altending  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Leeds are a good side, on a good run, it was a good victory for us. Not sure about Farke though. Leeds seemed devoid of ideas when we packed the midfield. I'd be concerned about the lack of ideas facing that. Other teams will take note.
