I would exchange the screws on my extruder as well, but on my extruder the screw of the right gear was so hard to get out, that the screw broke off. Worst case, so I had to buy a new extruder. Wait to see, If on the new extruder it is the same problem.😢
Thank you for the video! I'm having so much troubles with this K1C extruder, that I've lost the track of how many times I had to open to unclog or to remove plastic bits of it. Please post an update after you play around with the metallic gears, this seems a better option than just replacing the extruder.
I'm glad you liked the video! I will absolutely post an update once I've tested it thoroughly. After just a day though it seems to make a difference. It has definitely fixed my extrusion line issues (although new plastic ones do that too). I ran a 14-hour print and it looks great. The filament retracts more reliably too.
love the video. this helps me know why I needed to get a new extruder. I thought that I had personally broken or did something wrong to make it not work properly. my only question is where can I find those metal parts so I can do the same thing when my new extruder ends up having the same problem again.
Thanks, glad you like the video! I found the gears on Amazon here: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D7YV1S9N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
i love that you kept the allen key drops and little fumbles, it makes it much more relatable, who doesnt drop the things
Cool, glad someone can relate! Thanks for watching

@DavidsITGarage thank you so much. This will truly help me out. Keep up the amazing work and can't wait to see future videos.
Where did you buy the replacement gears?
This was what I bought: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D7YV1S9N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
