We have a disease that we don't want.
Disease isn't a moral issue, it's a sign that you need to take care of yourself.
You have to keep your life in sorrow, just as all the sick do.
Wow! Thank you! I leave a comment, and then I leave a little more.
I don't know what the best words would be, so I leave what I heard from the university professor.
I wrote the original document Groro that you wrote in the video.
It's a hard-to-receive video. I've seen a lot of comments from fans Thank you very much.
Thank you for editing many words with your gold hands and for giving me a lot
Be always healthy in body and mind.

He is a brave man. Being more open about HIV and being gay actually reduces transmission rates. It also increases survival time for people living with HIV. My doctor believes there will be a cure in 5 years. I don't know if she's right about the timeline but I think she may be close. It's not unusual for people to live for decades with HIV is they find the right medicine and are adherent.

Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you Asian Boss.
I've been volunteering at a shelter for HIV-positive people and people with AIDS in Italy for many years now. I want to say it was a changing experience for me: it makes you realize how lucky we all are to live a healthy life and all of the small futile problems seem to suddenly disappear. But I also discovered that there are a lot of misconceptions about this disease and that makes me very sad.
I often wondered "How could it be in Korea, the country where I want to live?". The number of HIV-positive people in South Korea is quite small compared to other countries, so I couldn't find many infos.
Turns out, thanks to this amazing channel, that there is a lot of disinformation but that there's also a brave, beautiful person like this young man, trying to educate people, battling everyday. I feel grateful for what he's doing and I hope he always stays strong. He should be an example to all of us. Thank you.

I remember in the 80s and AIDS was called “gay cancer”. I lived in Korea for two years and this disappoints me. I had hoped for progress with this important issue.

Hiv can spread by heterosexual sex.
But chances are much higher with gay sex i.e anal sex.
Route of transmission is Vaginal or Anal sex.

@@robertlee-nq6mg But in the early 80s, it was ONLY talked about as a "gay" illness. It was called GRID aka gay-related immune deficiency. There are also other ways HIV can be spread. HIV can be spread from mother to child in utero, delivery or breast milk. It can also be spread through shared needles with someone who has the virus.

I’ve been seeing a lot more things about HIV popping up on my TH-cam and other social media sites I wonder if this is a sign telling me to be careful or is this just a topic that’s getting more popular

People don't think HIV can happen to them and aren't careful making new cases increase when they should decrease. Use protection and if sexually active get tested every 6 months if not using protection every 3 months

It is a sign to be careful. I've noticed it too. I'm not trying to be ugly or rude but the new cases/coming out vids shocked me to think who catches HIV in 2019? I think the uptick for younger people 18-25 is because schools no longer scare the hell out of children like they did in the late 80s and 90s regarding safety.

Ju Yong thank you for being brave enough to share and speak out. Hopefully your courage will inspire others to speak. I do think your new purpose is to educate. Clearly South Korea needs more HIV/AIDS education. May the ancestors continue to guide your steps through this new journey.
**Asian Boss: if at all possible, I think it would be a good thing to interview someone who is heterosexual and HIV-positive. It may be very hard to find someone in South Korea who is willing. However there are so many that still only see this as a “gay disease”!

I wish him the best, he’s clearly a very kind and sensitive soul. People should never judge others because they have HIV, only support them. It is sad to think such a serious disease makes people blame themselves.
