    The thoroughness of how these tutorials are explained are shot is first rate. For everything that is explained, there's also a perfectly visual example. So useful.

    Having only just started shooting (1 go at sporting and another at skeet) I can now see I am trying to track the clay far too soon. I will definitely be checking out your other videos before I go out again. Thanks Steve

    It's a break action and common practice. The firing pins can't strike the primers when the action is open, plus it is easy to see there are no shells in the chambers. Even if there were shells in the chambers it would be no more dangerous than having them in your shell pouch. The action must be closed and case heads flush to the breach face for the firing pins to strike the primers.

      +Shawn Bartley Clay shooting in particular has a lot of one-upmanship. The mentality behind buying an expensive O/U shotgun is very similar to buying an expensive watch. It won't help you break more clays, but the person buying it wants to make a statement.
