How is Astor one of the “safest and better build” car when it has not been crash tested? Also, Astor was launched just last year, it’s not even a year. So we don’t know how things would be in long run, especially keeping its Chinese background in mind.
@C1PH3R 1.0 why are you probably unintentionally trying to misguide people? The mileage you’ve mentioned is no where close to real life efficiency. Astor in city give around 8-9km/litre where as on highways it’ll return some where around 12-13.

Creta is the most over priced car ever! Base model Petrol doesnt have anything except Engine.. Yes Just Engine Nothing else. Thats alright, its reasonable bcoz its a base model but the cost is mad! Booked Astor

@@manoja538 As of now they stopped bookings for time being since their plant is full with orders. They will resume soon. Plus if Astor does not have base model I can't spend 15.5 lakhs for S variant of Creta which is an SUV but elder people cannot get Back seat arm rest when travelling 700 kms on a trip. Hahaha 15.5 lakhs on road and no armrest at the back for the elderly. Claps

I have personally driven astor , I think there is not much difference between creta and astor AT !!
But , if someone really best package , go for astor sharp variant with manual transmission , that is by far best in the segment

@@prashantvismil9064Hi bro, I have booked Astor MT Smart. It seems good spacious and decent underthigh support. If these two are your major concerns take some test drive with both cars and you can find a very very slight difference in your points.
Astor would be good for Road presence too.
I like the 2019 Creta design than this new design.
Comparison is fairly accurate but safety and build quality should take centre stage.
There is no excuse for shoddy bulid quality whether the car costs 2 lakhs or 30 lakhs.

13:43 MG Motors could've downsided their 2.0L Single Turbo Engine of the Gloster to 1.5L and then plonk in to the Astor.
SAIC would be the one giving the engine, MG just has to plonk that engine in their rebranded car!
That is correct. That would have been a 4 cylinder unit too instead of the 3 cylinder mill currently.
However, the 1.3 turbo engine of the Astor is an extremely refined unit for 3 pot mill.

booked Astor base variant when official bookings started, yet to receive any update on the car except the delivery date going to Q4'23. they are prioritising only top variants.

Astor has better build quality than Astor, and it also looks more premium. Creta now won't give that spark. It felt boring.

Can u add more tint to the sunroof? It looks too bright on a sunny day even with the shade.

@motorbeam you're unable to decide but I can, in these two Astor is better then the Creta in terms of features and build quality plus Astor is a (Non-official) 5-star safety rating at the ASEAN NCAP as it is based on the same MG ZS platform.
And ASEAN NCAP tests are even applicable here too. Eg nissan magnite got 4 star in asean ncap and also gncap same as with 4th gen honda city

This Segment is kickstarted by the car which is out of production now and didn't got any comprehensive update to cater the Indian Automobile Market.
Later on, another Car in 2015 dominated and took over the segment to another league.

Here in Spain I got this model of mg but here it's called the zs and it's a good cheap car
here we have zs but its electric . its the same car but its just an ev and non ev version is called the astor

But here in Spain it is one of the cheapest as well I am not rich but Chinese cars are very good for what you pay for them

Build quality is good in Astor but it looks like a cross over and cramped too. Creta is no where a winner in this case as well due to average build quality. Engine and Transmission combination in Astor is patheric while Creta scores a bit in this department. Features in Astor are all gimmicks and we never know when they will fail. End of the story, both the cars nor perfect and I can't select any of the two.

Creta- a complete package of ride and handling??? Better learn what handling is before you make such reckless and unfair comments. What about build quality? you did not mention it at all. As a reviewer, you have to be very open minded and ready to accept the surprises, be it pleasant or unpleasant. Only that makes you a reliable source. Astor is indeed better in handling and steering feedback though it lags somewhat behind creta in power delivery, FE, etc.

Creta is not a safe car especially for high speeds. How can you make such a reckless remark that one cannot just go wrong with creta? Coming to handling, creta is just average, and leaves a lot to be desired. It does not even come closer to kushaq/taigun etc. You better stick to review of various features and funtions in the car, and do not give your verdict.

Please don't compare MG Astor with Creta. Creta is not at all close to Astor.
I had test driven astor manual, it was pulling like my Alto. That was a big turn off for me and likewise Astor is still a car, looks more like a hatchback, it is nowhere near to look as suv or compact suv. Creta kills it out on the suv looks.
Creta is a well finished product, it doesn't have to over do to sell itself. When you sit in creta and drive, it only makes one statement. "This fits me in every aspect"
