Times are changing now since that scam has been revealed to the world and they actually investigate a "tiny" bit before forcing them to pay the scammer

tbh its really crazy to me that the first guy was raided by the FBI for just taking cable from companies and yet they just let sex trafficking rings operate like its nothing. really shows you how money trumps over people's actual lives
Yeah for sure, these corporations hold a massive amount of power and were looking to make an example of anyone they could. I personally don't care at all, but money talks. I remember gears TV in the good ol days of Kodi, I never paid for it because I was only really interested in free content. He was one of the very few who ran the exact same schemes through the cable cutting movement.
All I can say about car accidents is to always get a police report and tell your side of the story as confidently and accurately as you can. There was a dude who straight up just recklessly merged into my vehicle when I was right next to him, and he destroyed my side view mirror. Got the police report, and he got charged with reckless driving. His wife tried to gaslight me at the scene and all of this stuff, and I just told her to sit and wait for the police, who will collect all necessary information and act as a moderator. I'm about 80% sure they were trying to pull an insurance scam, and probably just thought I'd never get a police report.
Man I wish I had this advice when I got in a car crashed. People speeding down a hill hit my larger vehicle so hard that I nearly flipped and ended up on the other side of the road. I was the only one who went to the hospital in ambulance but didn't have the spine to contest their claims that I was at fault and they were injured since they had a baby with them. I've been without a car for the past few years in a place with no public transportation. I'm literally stuck at my apartment. Can't get a job, the only way I can get groceries is through delivery. I guess I'm lucky to be on disability now.
What makes the car crash scam even worse is that they did it in 2020. How many people they crashed their cars against were already struggling with money due to the pandemic? Imagine yourself in the financial situation you were in 2020, having to deal with a car accident.
Blu3 Ghos57 was the one that pissed me off the hardest. That is actual psychopathic behaviour and they should've been locked up for way longer then that.
Especially the mum. 90 days in prison for putting hundreds of strangers lives in danger and her own newborn child. If I went outside and kicked a child in the head right now, I'd probably get more than 90 days
But he's never the top guy.. he's always hidden behind other people so that doesn't make him actually countable as such for it. He's too smart to get caught for it.
The justice system values money over human life. Are whole civilization currently values money over human life and don’t even get me started on animal life’s. It’s fuked up
Honestly, it's a sad, sad joke that Omi would face that much time over something so silly and honestly deserved in this climate. It's bullshit that crime is considered more severe than something like child molestation. Clown world. Hope his life is okay after all this upheaval.
The car accident scam thing scares me because it makes me wonder how many other people could potentially be doing this. That and he had his kid in the car
I read about a similar scam in the 1950s. Folks would deliberately brake in front of trucks and sue the trucking companies for the resulting damage and injuries. Yikes!
Sure, doesn't mean Omi isn't also a villain. Have you seen the comment section on his videos? Dude has thousands of total rubes talking about what an inspiration he is while he sells drugs, steals cable and then uses the money from it to act like a baller. Meanwhile the impressionable children and idiotic adults that make up his fanbase are acting like he is some role model to follow in the footsteps of. Omi is a piece of shit. I watched my father break his back as a boiler technician, struggle his entire life and never once did it cross his mind to break the law or steal from someone. Guys like him are the real role models, not some obese moron that is so scared of real work that he would defraud millions of dollars and then blow it on expensive cars and fancy watches. Letting guys like Omi continue to do what they do is a net negative on society because of the impressionable idiots that follow in his footsteps.
I feel bad for Omi. He never got a chance as a kid and refused to be a drug deal which is menace to society. Instead he scammed the scammers. Cable companies target old people. They go door to door and harass to get old people sign up. Hope he makes a come back.

Lmao there's months worth of DeWitte videos to watch! That dude basically has his own show. His whole life on YT for us all to see. I love how dumb and unaware he is.
IMO, he didn't do his level of stupid "justice"...Jeremy was the saddest story of them all; Could have been a legit millionaire if not for his ego...He didn't know it @ the time, but his company was being proposed statewide in Fla before it all went down...All he had to do was apologize to a detective's wife, and stay in the office banging his assistant, while cashing the checks...Literally, HAD IT MADE!!! The PD loved him( at first...) He would bring donuts, and kissed the right azzes...He had it ALL; 2 houses, a big boat, and a fleet of cars/motorcycles...ALMOST felt sorry for Jeremy...
what i love about fake cops is, they put so much effort into "looking like a cop" they could have literally just gone through police academy. Many cities it lasts 9 months and is FREE if you stay with the city for X years afterward.
Yeah, setup a fake business to account for your large drug distribution like everyone else. I had a friend in the late 90s that was doing that with a Clothing company. Even paid some very big bands at that time to wear the clothing, I guess to make it seem like the brand was popular so he could claim false sales, expenses, etc.
Jeremy Dewitte taught me one important thing...always ask for a lieutenant, always. But honestly it is amazing he wasn't ever attacked by anyone in Florida while doing that
Nah cuz I absolutely respect Omi's hustle. Cable companies have insane prices that are absolutely not fair. Dude got arrested because he was earning money by letting people get a better price instead of crazy prices from multi-million dollar corporations. 514 years for copyright violations is outrageous considering second degree murder is ~30 years on average and sexual exploitation of a child is 15-30 years.
Lol more like 2-5 years for chomos. The government loves protecting pedos meanwhile if you're stealing money from the rich they give you life in prison. Shows you who's in charge.
WELCOME TO CAPITALISTS STATE OF MURICA. Lol, imagine not beeing able to download pirated SW, games,series,movies..... ahahahaha...land of the free ahahahaha XD usefull idiots all around XD
The most damning part of Jeremy Dwight's case happens at 31:33. As a resident of Florida myself I can confirm that it is a little-known fact that each and every uniformed officer is legally required to refer to every member of the public that they interact with as a fuckboy at least once, otherwise it is not considered a true detainment in court.
I'm no resident of Florida, but I think you forgot to also mention the compulsory banging of the hood of a car. I mean, nothing shouts 'professional policing' like randomly assaulting someone's vehicle for no apparent reason.
Not only was Jeremy Dewitt impersonating a police officer, but he was impersonating a bad power hungry one. Being a danger on the road for no reason, having power trips on random people.

VERY happy to see Gaskings being talked about, it completely flew under the radar when it happened in 2018. Ironically, his final upload before heading to prison was an escaping from police compilation.
I met the guy! Funnily enough, he lived in the same city as me, but I travelled all the way up to Essex for CarCon, which was at Dub Customs. Snowy as well, pretty fun day all things considered. @@sabersz Lmao that would be hilarious if you bumped into him wearing it. I saw him at AutoSport International 2018 just months before he was put away, the entire line of people waiting to do his meet and greet were just children, not that that was a surprise or anything.

You've never seen that before? Wow.. I have seen many ppl set their people up with a place to live before they go aeay. most criminals commit crimes for their families.
TH-cam has shown us that there's a two-tiered ToS/Community Standard. One tier applies to people like Onision, Ssniperwolf, Logan Paul etc, and the other tier applies to everybody else. IE If you make a LOT of money for TH-cam, they will look the other way, protect you, and let you break the rules.
There was a kid in my tiny town (about 500 population) who tried to impersonate police officers from the time he was probably 10 or so years old. It started with him directing traffic at events with a flashlight - like high school ball games, church events, weddings, funerals, etc. But it eventually ended up with him putting a light on his vehicle and stopping people. Our town is small enough where everyone knew him and knew he was harmless after they grasped the situation but I live in Arkansas - where the story of the Blue Light Rapist is still well-remembered - and people didn't care much for his antics. I guess he could have gotten into a lot of trouble and he'd been warned several times but the city cop (yes, singular) gave him a very stern speech and set him straight. I think the little dude has/had some kind of mental/developmental disabilities but he ended up growing up and starting work at a fuel company where he's in management - I reckon he's married and maybe even has a kid on the way now. I always think of him when I see police impersonator stories. But like with the guy in this video, what I don't understand is when people won't just give it up - they even get prison time but keep doing it.
Kinda respect the first dude's hustle. Grew up poor,, became a drug dealer, got busted, and found a "legal" way to get rich. He's a flawed person but I see where he's coming from
@@jonathaningram8157 Hence my quotation marks. For a long time, he was in a legally grey area. He eventually flew too close to the sun and got burnt. He has to be at least a little smart to figure out and do what he did.
He didn't deserve prison time. Look at Logan Paul. Scams millions of dollars from the average person and NOTHING happens to him. No charges ever. Omi streams some cable TV to other people at a price and all of a sudden he has a massive FBI warrant and gets 6 years in prison. Fucking bullshit. This countries legal system is ridiculous. Don't even get me started on rapists and child molesters.
Nahhh Omi had it right; cable companies are a racket, especially in areas like mine where there’s almost a monopoly for one specific company who does whatever they want. That his last action was making sure his family was good before he went in like… That tells me everything about his character. I hope he comes back
Ups to Omi. I actually thought his plan wasn't half bad. Stealing from large companies that overcharge customers and giving it back at a much cheaper price. Only the companies lose, and I'll never shame anyone for creating a situation where big corpos lose.
the problem is he made money off of it, its likely if he was just pirating and handing out cable tv for free it woulda been way longer for him to be caught. although i agree, cable companies and ISPs blow chunks
I can't really be mad at that dude either. He was only charging what we pay for Netflix NOW to share content all over the world to people who couldn't afford cable. And bruh, 500 years for copyright and tax fraud? There are serial killers who don't get that kind of time. I hate America
@PandaMonium92827 there really needs to be a strong line drawn between violent and non-violent crimes during sentencing. It is truly sad sending someone to jail meanwhile also making him pay the fines and restitution. I have a feeling he got the message having to move his family and needing to pay almost $60mil.
You didn't mention that Dewitte was also protected by bent senior cops, one cop lost his job after he arrested Jeremy after a senior officer told him to leave jeremy alone and another cop got reduced in the ranks for the same thing, i think both cops are suing the police force now.
Considering all the Twitch watch parties and all the shit they get away with- yeah, Omi's logic really isn't all that bad and it's kind of interesting that a lawyer didn't try to draw that same conclusion.
The couple intentionally causing a crash for insurance fraud is already bad enough, but doing it again and again is a sign that they're insane. They need to understand how bad it is to be doing this
Sounds like Omi did nothing wrong, other than getting caught. Unless there’s some sorta deeper information about how he hurt people, he’s got my full support. Fuck cable companies.
@RanialsAwesome legally wrong, yes. morally wrong, absolutely not. the law and morals are not always the same. dont ass kiss big companies. he stole from the rich and gave to the poor. nothing wrong about that.
That is true. But one thing that isn't helping with this, which I mentioned earlier somewhere else, is the widespread mentality which encourages people to mock, degrade or humiliate people who were the victims of scams, under the pretense that if those people were silly enough to fall for a scam, they deserve to suffer to the bitter end. In addition to being somewhat callous & reprehensible, I would think this attitude just gives extra fuel to scammers for continuing their grift on innocent civilians of all stripes.

He should have made a charity foundation to decrease any taxes own and get his money out of. That just one of the loopholes they may more. It just is average people don’t know all of them and don’t even realize the decreases taxes the wealthy have to pay they rarely even pay that as they use loopholes to avoid it. Trump tax income looks like a lot of wealthy people income I just that why that slow drop they story. Amazon pay little taxes and I can go on. The truth if businesses paid livable wages there be less need for the huge increase need of government assistance which is struggling because less people can afford to pay the taxes putting them in need for more assistance. This downward spiral would stop if companies would at least do that. Now they decrease assistance more for the average person which in turn hurt the economy as less people can pay stuff so more lose their jobs in the long run even though it takes a long minute those companies end up shooting themselves in the foot. I guess they trying to do something different this time by hoping to replace workers with robots so they not made to pay a livable wage after the economy completely crashes.

The car accident scam thing scares me because it makes me wonder how many other people could potentially be doing this. That and he had his kid in the car
I read about a similar scam in the 1950s. Folks would deliberately brake in front of trucks and sue the trucking companies for the resulting damage and injuries. Yikes!

Multi-billion dollar corporations are never the victims. Those corps never get that much profit without screwing over millions of people
I feel bad for Omi. He never got a chance as a kid and refused to be a drug deal which is menace to society. Instead he scammed the scammers. Cable companies target old people. They go door to door and harass to get old people sign up. Hope he makes a come back.

Why in the hell would you commit tax fraud if you're rich off of criminal activity? If ANYONE is gonna sniff you out, it's gonna be the IRS.
Remember, the smart criminals pay their taxes.
Why are you assuming he has an IQ over 70? He learned how to do everything he did by copying people before him who then documented it online.
Yeah, when fictional characters are more savvy at remembering not to screw with the IRS than the actual Al Capone, you know shit’s gotten weird.
The real question is how can they want taxes off of money that was illegal..smh..the irs is the biggest cartel
Don't steal from the rich. Only steal from the poor. The rich do this all the time
Lul, and those who m*lest children hardly ever see any jail time. So 5-10 years is extremely generous. 2 years to 5 max is more accurate

" your honor, I was under the assumption that this was not a lawful detainment as I was not called a fuckboy"
"CASE DISMISSED"
I'm no resident of Florida, but I think you forgot to also mention the compulsory banging of the hood of a car. I mean, nothing shouts 'professional policing' like randomly assaulting someone's vehicle for no apparent reason.
And by the way, the 'Florida Man' meme seems to possess an infinite depth of depravity & shocking behaviour from which to draw upon.
Fuckboi*

It's probably pretty challenging to give up the power, privilage, and respect. Something they wanted when they first got into it.
This is not that type of guy.
Blue Light Rapist...what in the what
Kinda respect the first dude's hustle. Grew up poor,, became a drug dealer, got busted, and found a "legal" way to get rich. He's a flawed person but I see where he's coming from
turns out it wasn't legal at all. Just less obvious.
@@jonathaningram8157 Hence my quotation marks. For a long time, he was in a legally grey area. He eventually flew too close to the sun and got burnt. He has to be at least a little smart to figure out and do what he did.
@@jonathaningram8157 if his actions are illegal then 80% of the world is a criminal
He didn't deserve prison time. Look at Logan Paul. Scams millions of dollars from the average person and NOTHING happens to him. No charges ever. Don't even get me started on rapists and child molesters.
Bullshit, that dumbass could’ve started a legitimate business and stopped the criminal shit as soon as he got the first $20 mil!
Nahhh Omi had it right; cable companies are a racket, especially in areas like mine where there’s almost a monopoly for one specific company who does whatever they want. That his last action was making sure his family was good before he went in like… That tells me everything about his character. I hope he comes back
respect to Omi, fuck these media companies charging customers out the ass. hope he and his fam still got hella money left over
He's a fucking criminal
So basically if you’re not rich, it’s legal to scam you. But god forbid a billionaire gets scammed a single dime.

Unfortunately scammers will never go away and will always take advantage of innocent and vulnerable people
That is true.

Unless your a huge company and know the loop holes in place so you don’t have to pay taxes. Look at all the millionaire and billionaires that pay little to no taxes.

Imagine the fake cop busting the dangerously fraudulent couple who rear-ended Omi while he was taking his Hellcat to be featured in a GasKings video.
Shame cuz I actually like Omar a lot.. Im from Philly and I met him on numerous occasions. Super polite, down to earth and humble guy. Genuinely wanted to help people as well. Yeah, he is a flawed human, but I think Omar isnt a devious or bad as people make him out to be. I think he saw an opportunity to stop risking his life on the street, and took it, even though it wasnt legal. I know so many people on the streets of Philly who woulda done the same thing to leave that hood life, even if their was risks involved. And I dont pity Comcast or Amazon losing money..
It's a rough road for people who have no humility.
FR, and the people he was scamming are massive cable companies that deserve it unlike some of the others
Well he sure helped a lot of people with all those cars, houses, boats, and jewelry.
He didn't seem very humble posting and flaunting all the things he bought with the money though. Don't take me wrong. I don't feel any sympath toward the cable companies, but it's not like this dude was doing this to help anyone, but himself.
"humble" 😂
I used to watch Gaskings for a little while back when I was in high school until I realised that most of his jokes and list videos were ripped straight from other people’s videos with no credit given. Wasn’t surprised at all when I found out he was a scammer
I love how Omni got "fears facing 500 years in prison" for tax evasion while people get probation at best for violent crimes
What’s kinda funny about the dash cam scam is that if they just said “oh these aren’t us it’s just user submitted videos” they’d probably get away with more/ for longer but for some reason they wanted credit for the videos
One of the only creators I have notifications turned on for because you never disappoint!
Same. I love this channel.
The fact that you could face 500 years for copyright infringement is absolutely disgusting. Free my boy
This is one of the best channels out here bro keep it up.
For real bro
Ya I remember this one TH-camr trying to make us by a product called established titles and swore we could become a real life lord or lady by doing so
There's one problem there is over 300 channels who promoted established titles
They actually sell a plot of land and send a title so not exactly a scam. Just sketchy.
@@garrysekelli6776it's actually not a title. It's a certificate that offers no legal protection. Definitely a scam.
@@luminnous9000well you’re mentally deficient if you genuinely believed that some random Joe Schmo from Wisconsin could legally be a Lord
See...this is the thing in the UK therr lot of erird things lile that buy bit of moon become a lord and fee others but there seen as joke gifts for kids for many parants that dont have time to make there own, funny how everyone went batshit crazy not getting the joke.
Great research and video, thanks for the effort. Very well done.
The people who fall for scams like KAYLA’S are NOT always “not the brightest bunch”. A lot of times it’s desperation and they continue to think “oh I’ll just hear them out and get more details” and that opens the door for the scammer to manipulate them and talk them into it.
It’s just weird how she thought she wasn’t going to get in trouble
@@IdkFoxii totally
"How could one guy be in so many car crashes"
Thinks of my dad. 😂
I used a bootleg(lol) version of Gears tv on my Xbox and had no idea he got caught.😢
😂😂
The thing i hate most is that these people get away with this crap without consequences especially crypto scammers
